Great pics, Fran! So glad you made that trip with your family.

A few weeks ago I found a little kitten in my front flower bed around midnight...most of you probably saw me post her pic on FB. I couldn't keep her, but I fed and snuggled her that night, took her to our SPCA the next morning. Well...she left me a parting gift!! A few days ago I discovered I have ringworm...confirmed by my Dr today! Gotta take an antifungal oral med for 3 weeks. Still, a small price to pay for saving that wee kitten :)

Well, the kitty could have left you something better than that.

Oh no Bov! I have a picture somewhere of Jocelyn at 5 years old with a prefect round spot like yours right on the tip of her nose!!! (From snuggling a kitten)
I’m glad it was such an easy treatment fix because she was starting kindergarten in just a couple weeks. :)
P.S.- I still giggle at that picture...perfectly placed right on the tip of her nose!

LoL Tracy! I have one on my right lower cheek as well. All 3 spots line up perfectly with how I snuggled her. Dr. Taylor teased me about catching something from picking up a stray kitten...I told him it was nothing compared to what I could catch if I was out there picking up stray men

I've caught things a couple of times from snuggling stray kitties.....never ringworm though....Hope it heals quickly.....Granny used to tell me I'd catch ringworm from playing in mud puddles....I played in a bunch of puddles and pretty sure Granny made that sheet up....

Landscaping at Cuzzo's Ex place yesterday....Cuzzo throws a bale of straw down and proceeds to spread it out....It kinda comes off in small squares....He pulled off one square and there was a whole colony of yellow jackets waiting to tear away....I tried my best not to laugh and was pretty successful in hiding the laughter anyways.....Karma Beeches.....Karma...No more straw was spread yesterday and that's all the remains to finish the landscaping deal e oh.....

Spent the morning with Mom at the dentist....2 crowns fell off over the weekend....I don't know how all her stuff works but the dentist said with her insurance it was 4000 her way....Visited Cuzzo with the congestive heart failure afterwards....that diagnosis worries me so I visit as often as possible...Got a long time work buddy that's going through Hades with his longtime wifey....I shot by his place for a moral support visit...All I gotta say is when it's over it's over....Loyalty is a rare trait these days....

I've never had ringworm before either, and hopefully never again! Noticed a new spot on my back last night, so I guess washing all my bedding is on my to do list.

Yowsers on the yellow jackets, Dee! They say God created everything with a purpose, but I'm not sure yellow jackets aren't created by Satan himself! Sorry to hear about your Momma's dentist bill...that's a lot.

Loyalty, yeah that's not in many folks' play book anymore :(

Yeah I'd dang sure google the side effects of that medicine....Hoping it cures everything quickly...

Brooks Leathers went out of business years back....My initial jackets were both Brooks....One a regular biker or officially a police style....the other called a cafe racer and could be worn as a dress jacket somewhat....Years on larger sizes and being attacked by a German Shepard the biker jacket needed replaced and I did so with 2 Harley Brand Shovelhead edition police style that were scored for a deal...The leather is thicker than the Brooks and never did really feel comfortable as the Brooks did....They're all hanging in the closet for years....Brooks is back in business....A young son of the founder....They're expensive....not available locally and sized by number....my old jacket is a 44 long....All this I search the bay and FB marketplace and find several options....Old ones like mine are bringing hefty sums IMO....I get mine out and find the back covered in tan mold....Internet says 1 part vinegar 1 part water....I'm gonna hang "em outside and saturate them....The moldy 44 is a little on the tight side....The 46 I saw in SC that started all this lasted less than 48 hours on the bay.....

Hope the vinegar and water work on your jacket, Dee. Seems few companies make stuff as good as they used to.

The tiredness is a fairly common side effect of the antifungal I'm on. Bella and I are still walking our 2.5 miles every morning, but after that I'm spent for rest of the day. The spots are getting better tho.

Ask me if I'll ever snuggle up to a stray again! Kittens, puppies, men...yall can all stay on the other side of town

According to google a 50/50 mix of ACV and H20 is the best thing for removing and killing mold....It worked pretty good....Now I've got 2 500lb jackets hanging in the spare bathroom drying....Mold free though...I uses a quart on each....Double overkill as per usual.........

Last week I laughed a little when the yellow jackets got Cuzzo....Today when I finished the jackets I noticed one flying around my head....A friend had said last week don't swat at them so I didn't and came on in the house...Dang old bass turd went up my pants leg almost to the family jewels and lit me up...In the kitchen now....Then outta no where I got two in my shirt and both of those lit me up as well....3 stings and I'm in the kitchen...Luckily I swatted the hell outta them and they only got me once a piece....Shouldn't have laughed last week.....

A new Brooks jacket is 499 for a size 44.....they skip 46 and add 50 for a 48...The new ones do have all black hardware and I like that....550 not so much like there....I'm hawking the classifieds for a good used one and will have a better feel what size fits when those two 44s I have dry out....

    Beautiful Baldwinsville (CNY)
Yesterday was very rainy, high winds picked up over night (nor'easter reached CNY).

Thankfully the only damage (so far - high wind warning until 6pm) has been losing the top of a dead tree, a little damage on an interior fence section.

Looks like tomorrow I'll be breaking out a chainsaw (I haven't had to use the gas job in a few years, lately things have been small, used the electric lopper).

It moved over us around 9pm last night, but the worst of the t'storms missed us. We had a high of 86 yesterday, and a low of 39!

Yuck, Tracy! Mold in the walls is the worst...and expensive to repair.

Ouch, Dee! I laughed at your Cuzzo story...I hope Karma stays north of me!!

Mark, I'm glad that's all the damage you had. Still gonna be a pain to repair, tho.

Hope you didn't lose power, Fran.

Last night I had work going on in the shop....During dinner the storms hit....Caught a lull in the downpour and headed back too the shop....My old Bronco is under a shelter and Bobby the Cat was perched on top of the Bronco...I spoke....Bobby just looked at me....I stayed in the shop for 90 minutes....Bobby was still there so I walked over and spent a minute with him before he ran off....Still haven't gotten a trap but it's that or the other option.....Just to risky.....The humidity was unbearable last night in the shop....There were tornado warnings all around though I've not heard of any damage today....The temps today were a definite shock to the system....The yellow jacket stings are itching pretty dang good sometimes and swell after a good scratching....Still haven't seen a nest but if I do.....GASOLINE and a MATCH !!!!!!

    Hey Strangers ~
I'm still alive !!!.... I've been up and down the valley for the last month and a half. Our software, Sales Force Lighting, is a great product but takes months and months to conquer. I'm getting there slowly.
I found out a month ago that I didn't have a torn rotator cuff, but I do have nerve issues though. When I threw those apples it inflamed the nerves. So the PT is working to help the nerves slide threw the nerve sheath. It is getting better and hopefully it will stop the nerve issues completely.
Kia and the boy, "Max" have been close but safe from the Socal wild fires.... Looks like the fires will pass their way !!!
