Fran this Cotton Bacon is ready to go straight from the pack....My next wick material purchase....

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MH843QbP1Jo

Watermelon juice was lauded for the cardio, metabolism and reduction in muscle pain....I read results from a medical study....Seems legit....The ...... part was due to an increase in blood flow...

Bov......Is there something you haven't told me????

Fran the wick....Likely you'll try and stuff too much in there....You don't want it bunching up on the coil when you pull it in...The perfect amount will slide back and fourth with just a little resistence....just a little!!!Pretty sure the Cotton Bacon is on the bay....I saw their kanthal on there last week...I like the bay for paypal....they keep sellers in line and it's a click, click done thing...the bay is pro seller IMO but I've always had good results there....

I've not filled my Nauty in a while....Just about had to break out the blow torch getting it apart...Full now though....

hahaha Sorry Fran, I didn't know you meant flat cotton. Nope, that definitely would not work very well!!!

I was never much of a fiddler so I didn't think I'd like to build coils and rewick. Boy was I wrong. One coil build can last several weeks to a month. (how's that for non fiddling?) I also love the fact that I can rewick as soon as the taste gets the slightest bit weird. A dry burn of the coil and I'm good to go again. Do you know how many yucky coils I put up with for the sake of saving a few dollars in new ones? I never thought of myself as a control freak either, but with a Kayfun you have control, so maybe? hahaha

Wire is cheap and so is cotton. I don't see either as a problem for the FDA as well.

The v4 is touting top fill. I am intrigued! Anybody hear good or bad on them?

Don't get me wrong the Coil Master is a great tool...It simplified making coils and they do work just fine...There is no way too apply tension too the wire however...There are several benefits with a Tensioned Micro Coil....The jig can be picked up at Micheals or Hobby Lobby...I have one but haven't used it at this point....I plan on spooling a fly fishing reel with kanthal and mounting it out front of my jig...I'll be using the drag from the reel too apply the same tension from one side of the coil too the other....the reel also makes the same tension from coil too coil the exact same...here's Super X and his coiler from Micheals....

Fran I've used many forms of cotton and I don't feel there is a big difference between them. I have settled on organic Japanese cotton pads. I've tried the big names that are 5 pads for $8 and they are not any better than my 100 pads for $12 from Sephora. And you can get them cheaper form amazon. I like it because I can cut a strip to the perfect size for my coil.... At least that's what works for me :)

Well, I made it to town and back. The weather is so nice today that it was good for sitting and visiting.

I finally made it to the Hardware Store and here she came. Uh ... waddled might be stating it better! And I'll be danged if she didn't plant a great big smooch right there under my mustache.

And just as I feared. We were mustache locked!! It was terrible. Smelled like she had eaten fried chicken a few hours ago .... awful! Ugh!!

I was trying with all my might to disconnect myself from her but nothing was working. It seemed the more I struggled the more our mustaches were locked!

Finally someone started yelling "Call the EMT's and tell them to bring the Jaws of Life."

I was not enjoying this mess I was in but I could tell she was enjoying it real good because .... well .... just because!

The EMT place is just half a block down the street from the Hardware Store and eventually here they came lollygagging and sight seeing and taking their good old time.

But eventually they get around to chopping around with the Jaws of Life. They must have seen somebody use them on some television show because it was real daggone clear they knew nothing about them. That came to light when I nearly lost my nose and left eye! Good thing I screamed in time.

Now you should see my mustache! Jagged, raw, bald in places, short in places, bleeding in places and just a real mess.

But finally I was free and just to show there was no hard feelings I bought a Chinese screwdriver set out of the bargain bin and charged it because I have credit there.

So I get out of there and get in my truck and start heading toward home when suddenly here came that fat lady with a mustache from the Hardware Store rushing down the sidewalk toward the Post Office. She was screaming for everybody to get out of her way!

And I thought to myself "OMG, what's going on NOW?"

Then I saw it.

She was holding an envelope with my name in big, black letters on it and it was a dun to pay my bill and I hadn't even left town yet.

Man, I'll tell you!

So I get home and get out of the truck and I hear this great big roaring, growling sound!! I thought either the dogs were mad at me or else Bigfoot was behind me!!

But it was just my stomach growling.

I think I need my nap now.

Do you mean that I should stop cutting those little cotton squares out of my bed sheets?

I guess that leaves cotton socks out too.

I thought my juice was tasting a little strange ....

I think you earned your nap TT

Katie made shovel all the snow that was keeping her from getting her car out of the garage today. That means that I now have to dig out my parking spot so that we don't have to play musical cars when she decides to go somewhere. She hasn't driven since she broke her arm at the first of December, but she's having no part of hearing that she needs to practice before getting out in town. I have a feeling this isn't going to be fun

Thats not it. The one that I got was only $7 let me go to my amazon account and I will link it. Pretty sure that this is the one that Wharf mentioned. We talked about it a few 100 pages back. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000TCD51A/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

It comes right from japan so allow a few weeks delivery. Can't beat it for $7.99 shipped though.

I don't know anything about this but, thought i would share anyway

    Cotton Labo Organic Cotton $7.11

Forget what others have told you is the latest and greatest fancy shmancy organic cotton. Buying a $7.11 pack of Cotton Labo is all the organic cotton you will ever need. For a very very very long time! Cotton Labo is 100% organic cotton. Which means it has no bleach, pesticides or agricultural chemicals. And this pack includes 200 50x60mm pads. Which is about 2×2.25 inches. Are you really gonna try and tell me you’ll even need more cotton that that? =) Don’t wait too long to pick it up. It tends to sell out relatively quickly. So might as well pick it up while it’s in stock and ready to ship.

Amazon.com : Cotton Labo ORGANIC Cotton Puff Size M (200pc) : Cotton Balls : Beauty

    Ships free

    Size: M size 200pc

    There ^^^^^^^ is the info

LDs is probably just as good just costs a little more. Ok alot more. ;)

Well, if you really want to spend money on cotton, buy those cotton socks I've been using.

The added benefit is you can wear them for a few months before you roll wicks from them. The bed sheets are even more expensive!
