Dang Wuzz....The dealership in town has a bunch of new Jeeps...Orange, Lime....fancy black wheels and big tires....I imagine a big and fancy window sticker as well...

I feed the birds...for the squirrels I buy corn from a local farmer...

Dieting and the boyish figure....being a chic magnet and such....I saw something the other day about the amount of sugar in premade tortillas...Twas not good....As it stands now I'm 6"3' and an even 200lbs...Still I'm on a diet...Basically a no sugar diet....

My change bucket is full too the brim....The Credit Union has a big old change counter!!!!! I'll be there later and then off too the welding store for some welding rod...When I was a kid in the body shop I was always quick to ask questions when one of the veterans used the torch for welding....I saw that as a dying art and it was...Now I've got a state of the art rig and use gas when I really want to impress...Now many of the veterans I looked up to are gone and I've become the veteran....Never saw that coming...

Ha, ha! TT knows me well. I do love animals. All of them. :) I don't like to see harm come to any of them. Killing for food is one thing. Killing for sport is another IMO

My BIl started deer hunting a few years ago and my sister didn't even want me to know

When my son was growing up and got his first pellet gun I told him not to shoot anything he didn't want to eat except some snakes and only if they were a threat. First thing he did was go out and shoot a squirrel, clean it and asked my Bride to cook it. On scouting trips he carried a pocket fishing line and would catch fish, clean them and cook them with swamp cabbage or other available veggies wherever we were camping. in the fire while the rest of the boys were eating tater chips and canned food. He impressed more than one leader with his survival skills.

Dee, when I was in high school my Uncles owned a body shop and had acetylene setups. I came home from school one day and my Grandmother was out in the front yard with the torch welding up some metal lawn furniture. I panicked and told her to give me the torch before she got hurt. She told me to get out of the way she knew what she was doing. Found out later she had been a welder in the shipyards in Jacksonville during WW2, as were a whole bunch of other women. They were building ships while the men fought. Ever heard of Rosie the Riveter? Who'd have figured. At a young age I learned that women are capable of anything they need or want to do and never underestimate them. Just love em and try to learn something from them.

Hiya El Dee!!

Yeah man, its incredible the amount of sugar and all the other stuff they put in our foods today. I keep hoping we'll end up with someone in goobermint that takes offense to that, but so far its never happened. Its seems like any kind of crap or chemical they can't figure out how to get rid of .... they sell it to us. Floride is probably a good example (although some would argue that). But there's a whole slew of other things.

And you're right about us being the old timers now. I think we still have a bright future though because although ways of doing things might change we have a huge group of fine American young folks coming up who I believe will change this world for the better. Believe me, their not all bad like we see on television. There's a lot of good ones out there that you seldom hear about.

I guess the time comes when us older people just have to move over.

But that doesn't mean that we're not smarter than they are either!!!! LOL!

Yeah Wuzz I know who Rosie is....I've got state of the art electric welders here as an option and they do get used way more that gas....4130 Chrome Moly was designed for airplane use....also designed to be gas welded....There are just times when kicking it old school and welding with gas yield superior results....I see a lot of stuff about equal pay for women these days....Hey I'm all for that...I never saw them as any less than equal any way....Sounds as if your Son was raised correctly...Currently I'm not hunting but fishing I do frequently...

Tejas whatever you eat these days does one of two things....Helps or harms....I'm all for Help!!! It's a slap in our face the things the FDA allows in our food...then they get wadded panties over an e-cig...

This whole food situation has me wanting to kick that back to the days of my youth also...back too the farm...Nose to the grind stone and paying off that mortgage comes first though...that is in the final stages and just gotta keep on keeping on right now...I still plan that worm farm and a small greenhouse to start my plants from seed...That way I can save much on plants and go with some old heirloom varieties....

The grocery trip wasn't too bad. Salem, that's just how I looked at it...Katie's day out entertainment! After we put up all the groceries, I went out and cleared more snow away from the foundation. One of our gutter downspouts needs rerouting, so I worked on that a little bit. It's a temporary fix until the ground thaws so I can get some dirt in here and regrade the ground away from the house. Gonna put in a little dry creek bed along the edge of the pavement, and run a gutter extension to it.

Fatten those little tree rats up, Wuzz! You skin em, I'll parboil and the BBQ em ;)

Just kidding Salem :)

Just dropping in to thank everyone for their input, the links, the information, the suggestions regarding the i50...and really glad to hear that no one else, here, has had those troubles.

The prolonged firing hasn't happened again but I wrote RMV and got a prompt response and can send it back for replacement...

@Tracy, I mix those Lemon Menthol "flavors" separately in bottles, the "flavor combo" just depending on my mood on mixing day. I shall sift, gather and decipher my concoctions and forward them to you--as they are written right now? Little index cards with scratches, scribbles, pen, pencil, PG/VG stains--'tis a mess!

You'd need a decoder ring...

Give me a day or two, please. Work and DST has been getting in the way of playing, lately :)

Wishing everyone a good night and I hope you feel better, Tracy!

I always hated BB and pellet guns. Never did get one for my son. He really had respect for all life though. I remember when he was in the 3rd grade, I had to go to bat for him with his science teacher. She was trying to make him catch and kill all sorts of bugs and pin them to a poster board. He didn't want to do it and I was not going to make him.
The sad thing is that many parents get their kids those guns and leave them unsupervised. Just a few years ago I was at our Avian Vets office. He showed us an xray of an African Grey. Poor guy got out of his house somehow and perched in a nearby tree. Some kid shot him in the chest with a BB gun before the owner could find him  Things like that make me want to put a whipping on the parents

Ha, ha! Hey Bov, you might be a redneck....................................

Hey everyone!

Was feeling a bit under the weather here today so I just kind of took it easy. Hoping tomorrow is better.

Hope you all have a good night!

Awe, sorry to hear that, Tracy. I do hope that you get over it quickly.

That is great news, Pokey! At least it is confirmed that the vendor stands behind his products. I have a friend right now that ordered a 30W ( for some odd reason) from them that shows shipped on the 3rd. Tracking has not updated and she has not received it yet. She is freaking out just a little ;)

Have a good night.

Thanks everyone! I'm taking Organic Sambucus and so far so good. I've heard a lot about it, all good things, and even had a friend give me the recipe to make the syrup myself. I ordered a bottle from Amazon last month when we were all so sick. Stuff tastes freakin awesome!!!
If you make it yourself, you do so right before the flu season as it takes awhile to steep. (Where have we heard that before?) :)
I can never remember to order, or find the dried elderberries until it's too late and I'm already sick. So it was well worth the $ to grab some on Amazon. My boss suggested it and said she always keeps some on hand for her family.
Anyways, you are supposed to start taking it at the first sign of something coming on. I did and will report back my findings...others swear by it.
