I checked out the Public Defender...Pretty much what I desire to have in easy reach...Coyote would have a bad night....

I saw a while back Taurus was making the Judge in 20 gauge....Snap!!!!

What's the recoil like with a hot 410 load ???? I have a Ruger Vaquero in 45LC that I feed Hornadys....Lotta fire out the muzzle around the crack of dark!!!! I suspect a hot 410 would compare somewhat recoil wise...

Fran I've got a 1.2 in the KSM and currently at 12.5 watts...

I've got the stuff to build my coiling jig....Soon Grasshopper....soon

Tejas has does wild boar taste compared with store bought pork ???????

Store bought pork is normally sugar cured (and salt) and its good.

Wild pork is much leaner with a slight game taste (earthy - not a bad taste). But the flavor of any hog meat is going to depend a lot on the diet they've had. When we have a good acorn crop is when I prefer to eat wild hog. My son in law smoke cures his hog meat or sometimes cooks it in an oven with frequent basting. He says to never cook it on a grill because it dries the meat out too much (back to that leaner meat thing again).

He and my grandson hunt hogs year round and of course take a lot of them off of my place.

But to answer your question, wild hog is better to eat than the store bought, sugar cured meat. In my opinion anyhow.

The Taurus Public Defender has a 2 inch barrel. As a result they are good for personal protection or close range snake shooting. That's about it. Unless that coyote is sitting on your foot its unlikely that you'd hit it. Longer barrels generally mean longer range and better accuracy.

A hot .410 on the Judge will pull back a bit, but for me at least, its really not too bad.

A 20 gauge handgun? You can have it. If my plan was to open up my forehead with a handgun I'd just go ahead and spend some bucks and get a nice, little SW X-Frame, 7.5 inch barrel with a 600 grain 50mm and be done with it. That would open a guys skull easily and enable others to see the contents .... if any.

To my way of thinking a handgun is a handy thing to have while I'm on my way to get my rifle.

LOL, I keep coming back to this and editing it.

I wanted to tell you, buy NEW shotgun shells. If you are reloading brass that is okay. But don't reload shells. Too dangerous as in death.

Thanks for the replies Fellas !!!

I figured the buck would get your attention....I need it for things that need killin'....copperheads, yotes, foxes and bobcats....Hey just stay outta range and no problemohh....

The hogs are just showing up here...Wuzz glad you mentioned fattening them up....I kinda thought about building a good strong trap that would double as a fattening pen....I can get a good supply of corn...Looks like I may need a smokehouse....and a mack daddy night vision scope

I've never bought anything from FT...Good deals for sure though...

Wuzz usually if I do carry it's a Springfield Sub-Compact XD 40...I also have a Browning Hi-Power 9mm and a baby Colt .25...The Colt is American manufacture...Might as well have a pocket full of rocks rather than a 25...I was with my Grandad @1972 when he purchased the Colt new...My Uncle tore it apart and couldn't get it back together so he gave it too me....Rifles though.....I have more than a few rifles...

I'm still working on it Wuzz!!! Lol
Thanks Fran, I knew it would be something so simple but my brain just could NOT think of it!!! That's where I get my Nemesis with the lipstick pink tubes in November, and the Kayfun clone with the hot pink window. Prices can't be beat, but oh that shipping wait can be torturous!!! Lol

Good morning Fran and Tracy. Y'all got your faces freshly scrubbed and pretty for when Tex gets here?

That's right Cuz Wuzz!

I like to kiss my little girls all over their faces in the morning so they know Poppa lubs them!

Hey, good morning kids! Another rainy day down this way. Sure glad I don't have a basement!

I've always wondered why they built houses with basements in them. I guess years ago when people had coal furnaces up north it was probably necessary ..... do they still have basements with the newer homes?

I'm certain the homes in Floorduh don't have basements. The only homes from there that I've ever seen all had wheels on them.
