We don't let the kids interrupt the week either (for non-emergent issues). We love them BUT there have to be times we aren't on the hook for them.

I completely understand that logic Oly. Couples should never forget that they are still couples after kids 
Just to clear things up Mom and I are the only family members at home....the rest are at the beach....She slept dang near all day....I helped my cousin hook up some ac vents under his house and we continued with the repairs to the floor in anticipation of tile...plus worked on my compressor room...Mom is doing OK...in some pain but OK...

@salemgold SO happy to hear your mom's recovery is going well! As well as can be expected at least. As for me, the scopes are scheduled for Sept 3rd...but I've had no more problems since the ER trip.
That is great news! I am glad that you are still getting checked out though. Take it from me that you will be better safe than sorry.
My mom had her check up with the surgeon last week and he was very happy with her progress. He is still pushing her toward chemo though. He said that the mass was very large and very deep. With todays technology, there is no way to know if something smaller than the size of a pea made it to her circulatory system and could reappear in another organ. She promised him that she would at least keep her mind open at least until she meets with the oncologist on the 28th. He removed 15 lymph nodes and they were all cancer free which is great news. I am a little scared and a lot confused as to what she should do. I guess that we will have to see what the onc has to say.
On a good note, she is cig free for 3 weeks and 1 day right now. She is vaping with an Ego Twist but, better than smoking 2 pad.
I do hope that I am not repeating myself here. If so, please forgive me. I am just not able to concentrate much these days.
I hope that everyone here is doing well and I promise to come back and catch up when I have a better attention span

Yeah those beach trippers were looking for my Cub Cadet keys....told those sumbeeches to stay the hell away from my mower...made in 86 and rode for over 800 hours by yours truly....and a couple of kids learning too drive...key search was unsuccessful....A troublesome test awaits at the Doc's Tuesday...I'ma gonna hit the road tomorrow ..... cut the grass and try and clear my head

Oh no, LD. So sorry to hear that. I am so afraid of my mom falling as her vision is not good and she also gets dizzy spells. I have taken all precautions around the house that I can think of though. I sure hope that she heals quickly.

I'm praying for your Mom, and you, and LD's Mom, and Bov. And while I have these quite times with our Heavenly Father, I always pray for all my loved ones and friends.
