Back home with good news. One small polyp removed, and on the endoscopy everything looks normal. Dr took some tissue samples from stomach and small intestine for biopsy just for extra reassurance since I do have issues with reflux. Dr did advise that I discuss alternatives to NSAIDS for my arthritis pain with my primary care Dr. but saw no ulcers.

Woohoo!!!! That is great news, Bov! Now you can be the .... end of our jokes without us feeling guilty about it.

Good thing to have the polyp removed while it was small too. You may want to ask about meloxicam. Your liver and kidneys would have to be monitored but, it does work very well. Not sure if it would be a good option for you or not.

Thanks ladies I'll check into the meloxicam, Salem.

It works and it is dirt cheap. I actually share my script for it with my sisters elderly dog that has arthritis in her hips and legs. Same thing the vet was giving her but, I have insurance

I have to drive to mid state and pick grandson up from son tomorrow afternoon so that he can spend the weekend with us. My son won VIP tickets to Darlington (races) so he gets to spend the 3 days in an RV on the infield.

She said thank you, Fran! She didn't want to go out to eat, so she decided she wanted me to call our local "best burger in the state" joint for take out. I think we both hurt ourselves eating burgers and fries And we both have half of them left over for later!

Sounds like she had a decent birthday meal, as well as you. My Mom turns 84 in Oct. And I'm grateful her health is great.
