LD, sure wish you would send some of that rain our way! Hotter than hades here as well. No rain in sight and it has been awhile. Cracks in the ground the size of craters around here.

We have a skunk hanging out in the yard eating the food that I feed my birds and squirrels. He is fearless and I am thinking he is rabid :( I am extremely pro life when it comes to animals but, this poor guy may have to go soon.

I've discovered two new cats coming to eat at Katie's All Night Buffet. We make sure our feral gets his fill before we let the others get the leftovers. This feral has been eating twice a day here for 9 years, we call him Butterball. The other 3 aren't feral, just live in the 'hood.

We need rain badly up here too. Not even the end of June and the lawns are browning.

With the heat lately the rain hasn't been enough.....When the rains have come the storms have been violent due to the heat.....Heading up the road the other night I was sure I saw a tornado ahead....I could see something gitchity from the approaching cars headlights....I stopped in the road and waited....Guessing it was just straight line winds.....

Got Mom's catalytic converter installed yesterday.....Now I gotta pressure wash my house and maybe then get my Ranger sorted out....Couz' daughter scratched the bumper on her new Mercedes and thought she was gonna drop it here today....My ranger has 4 slick tires and the AC line has a pin hole.....plus it's black so imagine the temps inside with no AC....I gotta rectify that situation before we can worry about cosmetics on any Mercedes....The Samurai is still here and believe this.....I have talked with some for real penny pinching idiots over the past two weeks....haven't heard from the cat who was coming today and just talked with another cat that's going on vacation for 10 days and gonna come and see it after.....You gotta strike while the fire is hot....If it doesn't bring my price it can stay.....No problem with that

We got hammered yesterday I think it was a twister that didn't touch down, could have been straight line winds didn't hear definitively. Limbs and trees down in and around the yard including my apple tree :( Black walnut across from the house fell across the road, what a mess there is to clean up.

Sorry to hear that Moon.....Most everything around these parts is battle tested.....Hurricanes and such....Now that I said that watch another Hurricane smack our azz....

Been on the mower all day....Saw some alerts from my Samurai post so I logged on....I wish people would count their change before they contact me about my sheet.....Gonna wash the dust offin my azz and then prepare the mix in the sprayer sos I can get my crib cleaned up a bit....Had a Low Country Boil yesterday for my Couz' birthday....taters, corn, Cajun sausage and shrimp....I avoided the taters and corn but went off the diet when the ice cream was ready.....Back to the diet now though....Hovering right around 200 lbs.....

Hate to hear about the wind damage, Moon...especially your apple tree. I know how much you enjoy her bounty :(

After I got the painting done I decided to prune the one tall hedge that has the wild climbing rose in it. It blooms early spring and I always wait until it's done before I touch it. Have to get the ladder out and try to keep it stable on unlevel ground. Looks like I've been in a cat fight, but the job is done.

That Low Country Boil sounds great, Dee! As does the home made ice cream!
