I'll share my "Einstenian" moment from last night.... I've already done a massive 
in my other thread 
I have a TV here in the basement. Used to be a gnarly old (25 years) tube TV with no accoutrements. Don't have a cable box down here, so just used the digital tuner and rabbit ears. Did some rearranging and somewhere along the line, lost audio for a couple of network channels on the old TV. Thought I'd "upgrade" and get a small flat-screen for the new "lounge" area that's been setup.
Still, no audio on those network channels. {Scratches head} Trying to decide if I need a new antenna or what. Went Web-surfing and Google-Fu pointed out how much of an I-D-10-T I am.... My TV can now BYPASS the tuner boxes and have antenna plug straight into the TV.
ZOMG! I now have better resolution AND Audio on ALL my channels
At least I didn't have to spend any money to fix this. And, I have one less remote to keep track of and one less device plugged into a power strip

In '85 the Kings moved to Sacramento and my Dad and I got season tickets. They built a temporary arena and 3 years later they finished Arco Arena and we went to both opening days.... When PacBell Park was built for the Giants, my BIL and I went opening day... When Levi Stadium was built I took my nephew to the 49ers opening day.
Sooo I had to complete the circuit so I went up to Sacramento Thursday to the new Golden 1 Center to see the opening day for the Kings.... Hopefully I won't have to open any more of my teams...
Unless... In 3 years I'm meeting up with Dixie in Vegas.... Just win, Baby !!!!

Derek for sure burned down the stadium in Tampa....Set a new NFL record for penalties though....over 200 yards penalized....say whaaaa????? That wasn't Derek though....Aldon "The Beast" Smith can be reinstated 11/17....Mario Edwards should be off IR soon....We get that front four back and LOOKOUT!!!! Word on the street is a DL from Carolina....Short I believe may be heading to Oakland....Donkies coming to Oakland next Sunday night....We beat them in December at Denver no less....Some defense PLEASE!!!!!! Not real happy about Lost Wages,Nevada....word is Sheldon Adelson may squash that...the NFL may also squash that....Laughing stock of the NFL since 2002 but the Raider Nation was forever loyal....Now with the pirate ship sailing again....Las Vegas????? All about that MONEY.....
It was @240 miles to Moncks Corner, SC for that utility shell....30 minutes from downtown Charleston, SC....We cut off I95 in Florence and took the backroads through much of SC....Francis Marion National Forest...Then at Moncks Corner you're at the Southern tip of the chain of Moultrie and Marion that form Santee Cooper...Few miles too the Atlantic....Santee River....Cooper River....Couple that with the area being lost in time....I could easily move there....Dang 500 miles in a 4X4 ain't easy on an old man though....We scored though....
On the lookout for some heart moniter patches today....Also getting ready to build some hand rails on some rock steps coming down outta Mom's flower garden...I built that rock wall and the steps back in the 90s...that project took years....Now a handrail is required so I'll put one on both sides to avoid the "wish you would have put it on the other side" thingy....Mom is forgetful but otherwise doing well....her insurance will only pay till Sunday and she's coming home Saturday.....magine that....Again....all 'bout the MONEY !!!

I'm a Halloween scrooge...Katie has decided I am manning the door tonight for trick or treaters. Watch me give hands full of candy to the first wave so I run out and can turn the porch light out

I hear ya on the all about the money ElDee! My oldest dd was working (for about a year) at a care center....she couldn't stand it any longer. All the unfairness just like you've mentioned and then some. She now has a job at a school which suits her so much more. Good luck with mama Dee; I know she will be happy to be home!
My aching feet!!!! Trick or treat 2016 is complete. I just ordered some orthotics for my shoes...can't take this pain any longer. (Vionic orthaheel from QVC) They helped my daughter tremendously, we will see about me.
I hear ya on the all about the money ElDee! My oldest dd was working (for about a year) at a care center....she couldn't stand it any longer. I lived in Moncks Corner years ago. Plus, the Cooper River was our old stomping grounds when we still had our boat. We would all sandbar hop lol Meaning that we would just pull up on sandbars and partay all day
Drove up the Cooper past the Shipyard, in to Charleston Harbor and over to the Ashley many times. Or, we could go through the lock and up to the lake. Used to be a lot of fun until the waterways just got too overcrowded.
Loved living there back when it was just a small beach town. Pre 1989 and Pre Hugo.

Darn it, Tracy. Wish I had known. I have horrible issues with my feet. I have been through every orthotic out there including one from podiatrist. I could not believe that I finally found a winner at walmart for under $10!!!! They are a huge relief for my PF and my high arches.
The Vionic will probably work well for you for awhile. They just don't hold up that long before needing to be replaced in my experience with them.
Work has begun on those handrails....The steps I'd built many years back out of very big rocks I picked up along the Cape Fear River....Getting the holes for the posts in just the right spot required some chiseling of those rocks with a 3 pound sledge hammer for force....Good thing is 10 million licks and I didn't hit my hand once....Elbow is feeling it tonight....there will be more holes tomorrow requiring the same I'm afraid....Topped that off with going to the rehab center early to drop off some stick ons for the heart moniter....Was gonna swing by Lowes and grab 4 4X4s for the handrails and some food before coming home....Forgot my money.....Yeah....So I went back with my money....Lowes has sheety lumber....Deal is 2 4X4s tied together with a 2X6 and a 2X4 sitting on top for the actual rail....Well the 4X4s are ground contact and greenish in color...The 2X6 are not ground contact rated and are actually called yellow wood because they are kinda yellowish....I'd love for them to match color a little so I could let them just age naturally....Not no but HELL NO!!!! Then the 2X4 for the top needs to be knot free and straight....let's just say I didn't buy a 2X4 from there and I'm gonna try and find some green 2X6s as well...Wore gloves digging through the million 4X4s to get 4 not bent into pretzel shape...Doubled back the nail on my middle finger....hell yeah it bled....Now with a finger stinging and sheety lumber giving me a case of the azz never mind being on trip #2 due to the money a Lowes employee tells me there is no digging through the lumber allowed...I just blew that off as I had just selected my last 4X4....If I'm paying I'm gonna eye ball that fekker like when I pick out a cue stick....It ain't straight it ain't riding with me.....
