All stuffed full of turkey, everyone is fat and happy in our house. The ex is here until Friday, he and Katie are getting along well.
I got a bit of a wake up call this morning. I've been experiencing some symptoms the past couple of months, so did a fasting blood glucose this morning with ex's kit. As I suspected, mine is high, but way higher than I expected...378! I'll be following it up with my Dr. asap.

@Bovinia - OH DEAR! PLEASE get that checked. I still remember the choked up voice of my Brother about 17-18 years ago. Told me that his youngest (who was about 7 or 8 at the time) was in the Children's Hospital - her blood sugar was WELL over 300. Juvenile Diabetes.... I also remember her older sister (4-yrs older) then counted (and taught the little one how to count) her various crackers for her snacks. Happy and in control today....

I will be calling my Dr tomorrow, I know this is not something to put off. I may need a carb recovery program
Real Flavors makes the VG flavors and they also have a line of concentrated flavors that are mixing in low percentages..
I think we're all going to hold you to this Bov. A blood sugar level that high is nothing to play with but I know you know that.

Sad to report the demise of the threads on one of my KF5s....They're SS and all of a sudden just galled and wouldn't tighten to shut off the juice for filling....YAY !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Parts are un-obtanium so it's another KF5 I guess......
Cuzzin bought a black German Shepard puppy "Elka".....We're gonna still be missing Lilly for a long time though....Old Spike is sleeping off a baked chicken dinner atm...

It's been a whirlwind day so far. Fasting BG this morning was 350. Called and got right in to see the Dr. My A1C (shows a snapshot of BG over the last 2-3 months) was an astronomical 13.4!! So I am diabetic without a doubt
I was still fasting so Dr sent me to the lab for full blood work. I'll be starting oral meds today, follow up at Dr in a week. Holy sheet!

My mom takes meds twice per day to keep hers under control and sticks finger 2x a day.....getting her to go back for yearly follow up appointments.....nada! Then she gets pizzed when we mention it to her. Ugh
