Prayers for Hubs Fran [emoji173]️

Prayers for Speedy and family too !!!

Soooo after 14 torturously long days, my package arrived from China. I am surprisingly liking the Ammit. VERY easy to build. Put on an 8 wrap 24 gauge 3.5 mm coil. Completely forgot about ohms as a coil came in at .84Ω. I'll be playing around with different builds and get used to the single coil again. I do get much better battery life with mid 30's W.

The flavor from my northern lights mango bliss was interesting. My plasma tank has a bold mango flavor with a hint of citrus. The Ammit gave me a more muted mango but a more pronounced citrus flavor. I've been going back-and-forth with both tanks and enjoying the differences. The Ammit is a winner in my book and as a bonus I get to use my Trippy Tips again [emoji39]

I also got a new coil master. When it was in transit I remembered why I wasn't using my older coil master. Building the Kennedy bottom airflow centered I couldn't use the coil master to push the coil to the center so I would use a jewelers screwdriver to push it over and tighten it down.

The new coil master makes it easier to get it centered on the Kennedy.

That being said, if anybody would like to try the coil master, let me know and I'll send it out.

Prayers for Speedy and his family.

5CS -- I've got a couple of decent tobacco recipes, but I use Seedman Commercial concentrate as the tobacco base. Happy to send it to you if you don't have it (I picked up a small bottle last year for some folks who were looking for a good tobacco).

Wharf -- I agree on the Ammit :D It's a nice little single coil tank; as a single coil person it naturally falls into my preferred zone. It fits great on the SDNA, and on tube mechs (would be good on a Pico too). The coil master I like because I find it really fast, consistent, and I change coils frequently (for the cost of the wire I'll generally only do one round of dry burn and re-wick)

ElDee - I've been very happy with the Therion BF. For me it was a tossup between that and the HCigar Inbox -- I went Therion because the slightly loose magnets on the Inbox would have driven me nuts, based on how the cover is mounted. I agree on the SDNA finish not lasting all that well, but I think of my rough-and-tumble one as just that - it does take a beating when I'm doing handyman things, but performs well and has kept going with multiple drops; I have a second one that doesn't get the lanyard setup and abuse, so will stay looking good. (My daily use Buzz Pro, for multiple years, also clearly looks like it's been to battle; I still have a coupla other BPs that are pristine :D )

Coil Master: $8.30 Coil Master V4 6-in-1 E-Cigarette Wire Coil Winder - 1.5 + 2 + 2.5 + 3 + 3.5 + 4mm poles at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

You pick the rod with the proper diameter to match the coil size you want, put it in the big handle. There are 3 smaller plastic pieces, with holes matching the diameters.

The wire goes into one of the two guide holes in the bigger handle (that becomes one leg, and gives you something to grip). Unscrew the phillips head of the short piece slightly, slide it on the pole, and twirl it to get the number of wraps you want (the coil wire is trapped under the phillips head)

You end up with a fast, clean, microcoil (wire loops touch each other). If you want spaced (I do normally) leave a little extra length on the legs and mount it on the tank/RDA. Pulse the power to it (10 - 12W is typically plenty of power) a few times, use tweezers to nudge the coils apart a little (when the power is off).

I find it less fiddly than wrapping on a standalone mandrel (or drill bit), easier on the hands (plastic handle pieces are easier to grip). For me a big plus is that most of my heads I wrap it one direction, but I have one RDA that requires me to wrap in the opposite (clockwise vs counterclockwise). The coil master has two sets of wire holes, precisely for whether you need to wrap CW or CCW -- sweet :D

Thanks for praying for Speedy....

I saw where Coil Master has some new ceramic sticks for positioning your coils.....Big benefit in that is having force inside the coil holding it in shape while you hammer it with the voltage...So far I haven't checked the sticks out..... just heard about them....

Finally finished the job I've been working on....Delivered tonight and that required me driving it....Let me tell you I've never seen a car as dirty on the inside....It had it's own funky smell...Shower time....I still smell it...

Morning folks :)

I know you're glad to be done with that job, Dee!

Adding the 2nd med to my diabetes routine has finally given me a fasting glucose number to cheer about! It was 146 this morning!! Combined with the lifestyle changes, I hope to keep it heading in the right direction :)

No bad news as yet. Hubs oxygen level is good. Emphysema is mild to moderate. He has some spots on an endocrine gland, hence the appointment with the endocrinologist. His Dr. doesn't think much of them but he wants to be sure. No diabetes.

    Great news,Bov:)

Fran, I worked with a lady for almost 10 years with emphysema. She was such an inspiration. She showed up for work every day and worked just as hard as everyone else. After I left that department she was still there. I'm continuing to send good thoughts to you and the hubs. :)
