We got Rod's ashes spread yesterday....Glad that everything is finally over...Not really sure where I'm at with all that....My only choice is to head on down the road....

One lawnmower in the shop atm....Fresh oil is in....needing grease and some sharpening of the blades...Just a general once over on the rest of the moving parts....Once that's done gotta rescue the Cub mower from the beach....same old blades/oil/grease and fix the ding dang starter that refuses to spin out the gear...spin it will but it doesn't fly up the inch or so to engage the flywheel and spin the engine...Road tripping clears the head so.......After the mowers are tight I got the full on more parts than ever needed timing belt kit for the Tacoma...140k on the Taco and no indication the belt has ever been changed....We got fishing and exploring aplenty to be done and we need a good fresh belt spinning those valves....After the week from Hell I'll keep the ball rolling but there's no rush to get anything done....

Water is up at camp :)
I have to put a new bolt on one of the six wheels (my version of an axle [emoji5]), but this is pretty much prime time to move it towards the lake.

As soon as the water drops a bit, the last tire will go back on. Pressure check on all 6 tires, then it's off the blocks and out to the lake .

I have 6 moorings set up, 3 pairs, each mooring consists of two 5G concrete-filled buckets bonded together (110lb net anchor/mooring, after subtracting off the water displacement). I'll use the closest in pair of moorings, and run a line to the (presently submerged) shore platform that the kayaks go on (another couple hundred pounds of net anchoring).

This car the ex bought is turning into a nightmare. The shop can't find the part it needs to fix it so it will pass inspection. They have even checked the bone yards all around us. It needs a fuel pump control module, but being a '98 year model, no factory part available

I have, Fran, and the mechanic says he did too. I have found the part in several places for around $250, but the mech says it will still fail emissions because the part is not a certified Nissan part?! The car is a '98 Nissan 200sx SE-R

The ex also told me today that the tranny is slipping from time to time. Honestly, I'm thinking it's wise to cut bait on this one, and find a halfway decent car that isn't about to lose it's underside from the rust damage.

Not really sure about the availability of that part....Pretty sure the only way I'd help Old Kev is if he were standing on the edge of a cliff and needed a push....Seriously now though....The only way you're gonna fix it cheap is if you locate a similar car in a self service yard....aka U-Pick...Chances are good the module is on more than one model of Nissan...Cuzz has Nissans at his shop for parts....there was a 240SX....not sure it's there now....240SX is rear wheel drive and highly sought after....not sure what interchanges with a 200...

El Dee's hot medical tip of the day....A tick must be attached for more than 24 hours to transmit lyme disease....Ask me why I googled that earlier....Pretty sure I always beat the 24 hour window though this bite has me worried....SONOFAMFINBEECH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ray Ban 4057....No longer in production....I went with those after the official Richard Petty Baloramas went down in a Pantera mosh pit years ago....Dang Ray Ban quit the Baloramas as well...I bumped into Petty when he came to a Pontiac stealership I worked at....I asked....He said "They Baloramas Son"....Sent the Pantera pair in for repair and they said they lost them....Heard later they were going for over $500 used and are non-existohh today as are the 4057s that I have extensive parts for....So what's with all the mad man mumble jumble...18 minutes to go on a pair of 4057s on the Bay....I went high bid at $55 a while ago and got shot down post haste...That bass turd better load a good bid cause I'm heading back in a few with intents!!!!!!!!!!!!

#170014P200: Nissan. Control module. Fuel Pump Driver Module. Modulator. fuel pump control

Consistent with El Dee's comment, Amazon has a used very good condition claimed for the same part number:
Amazon.com: Fuel Relay Module 2003 M45 Pn 170014p200: Automotive

It's claimed to fit 2003 Infiniti (Nissan's upscale line), but given the pn is a match (170014p200) it might well work.

(A Nissan dealer should be able to confirm or deny if it's really the same part )

Thus one directly calls out the year and model of the car: Control Module | Genuine Nissan | 17001-4P200 : CourtesyParts | Genuine OEM Nissan Parts & Accessories

(Last link is almost certain to be fine, but I'd still ask a dealer or smart repair shop if the used 2003 Infiniti part would also be a drop in replacement.)

Well I sat there all smug and sheet with a winning bid ready to enter...Then I waited one second to long to pull the dang trigger....RATTS!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can get lenses but my hope is to check around and maybe find a pair that has been on the shelf a while....Note to self....Pull the trigger at 20 seconds or so next go....

If the part #s are the same the parts are the same....If it were me I'd do my research and know what Nissans use the controller....Then find it at the local self service U-Pick....

I'm sorry you lost on the Ban's, Dee. I've had internet lag ding me with a loss or two!

Thank you all for the advice, and links. Having the advantage of searching with the vin#, I found several places with the part, too. It's the transmission and rust that has me spooked more. We'll see how the next few days goes...it's not my money being spent, but I'm still thinking in the long run a different used car may save more.
