Unc is doing well now. Thank you for all your well wishes and prayers.
He was doing yard work and on his way to the dump with clippings when he lost vision in his left eye, and completely forgot where he was or what he was doing. (He's 67) He clipped (side swiped) a van driven by an even older man. He was able to give his
insurance info to the gentleman and told he felt really strange and could not see out of his left eye. The man told him he'd better get right to a doctor or hospital.
For the life of me I don't know how, but he managed to drive his truck back to his house and told the neighbor what happened. Neighbor took him to hospital.
Long story short, his blood is too thick and caused the stroke. He had an a fib episode while in Hosp the second night. Cardiologist says he has atrium flutter and heart either beats fast or slow, no middle ground. He will be on blood thinner and two other meds probably for life. He passed stress test on Thursday and was released with orders to follow up with primary (most of my family dislike docs and he doesn't even have one yet, or didn't as of Thursday) and see an eye doctor.
He lives about a half an hour away from me but you best believe I'll be checking in on him!
His truck should be finished tomorrow. Bo has had it at work since Tuesday. I can't wait to see it! He's doing the work (with bosses approval) and I'm paying materials and a side mirror and more than happy to do so. He's the BEST!
