Another busy week in CNY.
Scuba class completed yesterday, other than for taking the students out for their checkout dives next month.
Camp odds and ends need to be done, including getting the lawn trctor functional. The left deck blade freely spins when I have the mower clutch engaged, versus the right deck blade being snug (as expected); with any luck that will just be a belt needing replacement.
In-laws are coming up for a 10 day visit, so I'll be taking some time off this week to play chauffeur. Of course that happens right when work has picked up a bit
Main home projects include setting up a new arbor for DW to grow some specialty melons, and a slightly leaky bathtub/shower faucet. The faucet is going to be a PITA. Based on the handle insignia it's likely a Moen, but the darn hex nut that attaches it to the stem is locked up (gotta get the handle off to try and replace the cartridge). I've tried some silicone lube, next up will be a hex key and couple of taps with a hammer to see if that'll loosen it up.
On the leaking valve, I'd take that as a sign from upstairs - cut it on the incoming side, dtop in a new sharkbite valve and switch to pex on the outlet. I really like how those sharkbites allow transition from copper to pex without any intermediate sweating on of couplers on the copper side
