Got that catch basin dug up and setting in concrete at the new level....Fill that hole back up and it's tractor riding and finish grading then grass seed.....It's been a while since that dude busted that septic tank lid...Nothing about this job was easy....in fact most was overwhelming and took one Hell of a lot of scheming the way to get through it.....Bottom line there's a nice new lid, lines, retaining wall and section of new yard....Spike and I are off for tractor diesel and by dark the topsoil may be ready for the seed....Last couple of years I had that bathroom ordeal with the leaking line at the faucet....then that ice storm and the tree falling on Mom's house...add the septic lid......No rest for the wicked they say....I see an extended break ahead.....Dee

Well got all the clay/sand used up and covered with the topsoil I had....Then I took apart two raised garden beds and added that soil as well....Overall the finished grade looks pretty good...Gonna need a shade of fine tuning with a rake then grass seed...I'll call the project finished when the sprinkler is shooting water...Should be tomorrow....Still haven't sent the shower back to the tank but that's around 10 minutes of work....

Debating a Pulse/Dead Rabbit....Coils from Advanced Vaping Supply....May just get a roll of wire but probably coils since that flat wire looks like a pain....Gonna add another Big Baby for my third Oceanus now sporting an OG Crown....May keep the Crown in rotation and keep the Baby as a spare as I'm pretty sure the Dead Rabbit is gonna be a go to...Only thing I didn't like about the Pulse was the 18650/20700...I would have preferred a 20700/21700 option...8MLs on tap you need firepower...The 20700s will last through a tank though...

Also digging into a dolly for the Kubota's backhoe...I used my old Kubota to move trailers frequently and the hoe prevents that...It's easily removable and there's a dolly available for 180 plus 60 shipping...That's just about the amount of money I'd prefer keeping....Looks like the welder will be employed soon....

The original pulse is solid, nicely executed. That said, my go-to mech squonkers were the two I tweaked with new 510 connectors and contacts.

The new pulse 80w has become my all day mod, switching back to the mechs only for really grungy conditions (salt water or heavy rain), since with a mech I can rinse the whole unit out. There's a firmware update coming in June which will likely do the +/- button lock option, so power level can't be accidentally changed.

For rda, the Dead Rabbit SQ has been an excellent flavor topper. I had an SXK Haku Phenom clone waiting for me when I got back, stellar for the price. The other squonk friendly RDA I've had my eye on is the Recurve, recently released with great reviews, though between the SQ and the Haku I really don't have a pressing desire to pick up anther topper right now.

I think the Pulse is the BF24....Regulated for sure....Many moons ago the only mod I had was a GGTS with high voltage 901 attys.....If an atty lasted a day you were lucky....I know mechanical and know it well....Gonna stick with regulated....Watched some build videos last night....Given the fact I'm .... about my coils I came to the conclusion I should probably just order a roll of that flat fused Clapton...Given the way the DR's deck is set up I want my coil legs entering the deck dead in the middle...No bent legs to distort the outside wraps...Looks like 5/6 or 7 wraps depending on wire width...Gotta check my Coil Master to see if there's a 3.5 mm rod as I want just as much cotton as possible....The DR looks like it will go better dual coil...I prefer single as I like a longer draw than most....Some experimentation will be required....Overall it's light years ahead of that old GGTS...Lucky I survived the dripping and driving days....Somewhere I still have some Joye 510s that eventually replaced the 901s...

If you prefer single coil, look at the DR SQ version. The SQ is a single coil variant, also includes some guide pins on the deck to properly seat/lock the top cap.

I'm single coil all the way. I like twisted 26 kanthal, though recently have been working with single 24 gauge. I've tried Nichrome too, and some stainless, quickly returned to kanthal -- I run for straight VV/VW, don't care about temperature contol. For wicking I use rayon (Graham cellucotton 100% rayon version, from Sally's Beauty Supply -- they have stores everywhere); it's cheap, wicks great, no break-in on flavor.

Deal reached! He countered with $1k higher, paying $500 towards closing cost, and if FHA home inspector finds anything that will have to be fixed, he pays to fix it...structural, electrical, HVAC, etc.

Next step is signing paperwork and going back to my lender!! WOOHOO!!
