Still have power this morning...yay! We have a couple more days left of this moving over us, but mostly rain from here on out

I just heard from ElDee! He said he lost a tree down by the creek that needed to go anyways (yay!) and they have no power. 
There is flooding all around, but he’s good!
I told him WE were happy to hear it and to stay in and safe until they get the all clear!

So relieved to know Dee is ok! Yes, Pokey is as fine as she can be cooped up in the house with her 2 bored boys LOL!

Glad that you and Pokey are ok, Bov. I remember a year ago, when Pokey was hit with a lot of rain. Her front yard was flooded, it's fortunate that she doesn't have a basement, or it probably would have been filled with water.

I finally have my kawvee game back. The summer was super hectic, but I was still making small batches. I was going batty, roasts just not coming out solid. I finally switched back to my original roaster today, am getting clean cracking. Ordered a new roaster, will likely year down the one that want researching property temp, look at replacing the thermostat or scavenging the fan for my first one.
Sone full city and city+ will start going out again

I do remember that, Jerry...Pokey has a creek that runs behind her house. She hasn't said anything about it rising over it's banks in the last couple of days, but it still could. Our rain is about over, but I don't know which rivers or dams might feed into that creek.

Good news is that he has a generator and he was charging his batteries.
I told him to hang in there because it shows rain here tomorrow night then tropical storm rains here for Tuesday.
I just don’t know how long it’ll take to restore power post storm...that’s always the beech. I remember it all too well.

Testing one....two....Son that damn hurricane will not go away....I got no power and just got internet on the phone...Most of the shop roof is good and jacked up...... one tree down and a couple leaning pretty good....tree fell square in the creek just before dark a couple days back....by morning limbs and leaves had caught in the tree and dammed the creek...now I got a lake where my drive was....got the tree out of the water and the creek held well until a few hours ago and it jumped the bank again....Rain seems to have tapered off and the creek did drop some but I've no idea where I stand as far as the end of the storm....The whole southeast corner of NC is flooding....Cape Fear River is gonna crest at 22.5 feet tomorrow....flood is 12 feet...Trees down everywhere....roads flooded out including I-95 and I-40....Won't be able to see the beach house for a good while due to the roads....It's been a war.....
