Morning all :)

Nothing really going on right now, Fran. Got most of my boxes unpacked, and have turned my focus on what I want to do outside. I don't have gutters, so I want to add a rock drip border around the house to stop erosion and dirt splash back onto the foundation when it rains. I need to go out to the quarry and see what I can afford in 1 to 2" rock.

I've been giving Chase extra time and love, too. Hurts my heart to watch him bumbling around bumping into things now that he can't even see light and shadows :(

I'm quite sure Chase knows he is loved,Bov. I feel so sorry for the poor pup. How old is he now?

I've seen these things that go in place of gutters...5/6 fins that break the rain coming off the roof up into small droplets....Rain from my roof cut a trench into the ground...I filled it with gravel below mower level...I pay $300 for 24 tons of #57 gravel....it's gray....Shouldn't be much for a small quantity but be warned it's heavy as Hades......

Spent the afternoon in the blistering heat scoping an auction preview....Unk tagged along and was old friends/business associates with the auctioneer....Got my eye on a camper and some heavy duty rope...Dang old camper I'll buy if things go according to my plan.....cheap as dirt...Told the auctioneer I tighten up when the money starts flowing...He laughed....I was serious...Not looking at purchasing work as it finds me for free most days....A deal is a deal though and if I can strip out the camping sheet and have a rolling storage building I'm in like Flynn.......

Chase turned 15 in August, and other than his loss of vision, he's still doing good health wise. Our furbies are our kids and I'm sure he'll adjust quicker than I will.

Dee, I went to the most highly recommended rock/gravel place yesterday and picked out a rock that is about an inch or so big...forgot what it is but it's white. A yard is $175 including tax and delivery, and that should be enough to do the back of the house at the very least. I plan to start getting the area ready today, cutting a little trench for landscape timbers, making sure the grade is adequate, and putting down some weed blocker after I skin the grass off.

Good luck on the old camper!!

I passed on the camper auction due to the fact I just might have bought it and I don't need another project atm....Had another auction in mind where they listed body shop tools and motorcycle jackets...I saw one very wet and cheap leather jacket and a dent puller that was also very cheap...I did score an old and big square shovel and an unused concrete bull float....the float is 48 inches wide and used for the initial smoothing...I gotta get a handle kit but that's how they come and I'm in it 12.50 so....GOOD!!!! There was a 1971 Honda Mini Trail 50 that needed lots of love...Same make/year/model as my first motorcycle...even same color in blue and silver...another project though and I passed on hitting at 125....100 and I could have just looked at it once in a while.....

I'm so glad to know you're collecting tools to come pour me a concrete patio, Dee

Got one section of the backyard drip line skint of grass and closer to ready for gravel...this old fat woman is beat! That's an 8' timber, and I laid it 3' out. The shed looking thing is the hot water heater...yup, it's very common here for them to be outside :?:

If the water heater doesn't have an insulation blanket over it you should add one. I believe Lowes has them...Like a jacket for the water heater.....

Got to thinking about that mini bike from earlier so I went to the Bay and searched Honda Mini Trail 50...Saw one just like the one today....I clicked on it and dang if it's not the same one....Dude must have flown home and posted it...he paid $100 + 10% auction fee....It's $800 now....A restored one on the Bay was $2800

May Robino 1 forever rest in peace........

We have another hurricane visiting Thursday/Friday...Forecast 3~5 inches of rain and wind from 25~35 mph with higher gusts....Guess we'll just have to wait and see....Not real happy about all that....

Spent the last of Saturday and all of yesterday cleaning up my small trailer/Cub lawnmower/Dodge dually...The trailer deck was slick with black stuff....I fixed a grease hub/pressure washed and oiled all the stuff needing oil...greased the Cub mower and got it ready for the remainder of the season at the beach...The Dodge was magnum nasty from where I'd parked it a couple weeks back...Dang birds and stuff....I'm gonna trailer the Cub too the beach and cut the hay in the yard here in a few....Storage building there has a leak in the roof and I need to try and stop that before it gets an additional 3~5 Thursday...Gotta get the ball rolling in the bedroom that lost the window as well....Sheet never ends but I'll be riding in a clean truck pulling a clean trailer and mower....Might be a vapor cloud or three blowing out the window.....

I've been looking at juice recipes...The Charlie's Chalk Dust I purchased had granola and other stuff...Stumps is the name....Quiet pleasing though a tad sweet....I also got CCD Mr. Merangue/Lemon....Tastes like the filling in a lemon donut which I always found cheap tasting compared with the pies I was accustomed around home...I'm looking at adding a donut flavor and a citrus flavor as well...There's a lot of possible good recipes out there and I just gotta pick one I can work with....
