Trust this.....I've been living here 58 years....never have I seen it so wet....I had to break down and lay a couple of 2X12s end to end so I can get from my steps to something resembling solid ground....It's raining now and has all day.....I need a break.....Dang new heater has been on the wall a month....delaying hook up due to it being wet under the house....My best option looks like some plastic to keep from drowning when I crawl under the house....I've given up on it drying out before August....Been searching for a little pick up....Old friend who's married to an ex-girlfriend had a sweet Toyota that he said was perfect....perfect except it won't shift into overdrive....Transmission issues isn't perfect and to top that he's a truck driver and I had to deal with the Ex to get the keys....They see they ain't gonna sell and cut the price I might buy and I might not....I could fix it but dang why buy a problem???? I already have plenty.....Got my insurance funds finally turned into cash and I'm gonna sell that big boat when it warms so thinking maybe I should get a little nicer truck....6 of 1 half a dozen of the other deal....As soon as the rain ends I'm checking the air in the Dodge tires and hitting the beach for the mower. I usually bring it in for service during the winter and I need the space for the bedroom stuff while the construction gets done....With the weather at least I'm rested...Got the cabin fever but rested...

Hoping Hubs feels better soon......I know it can't be easy on you Fran....

Hauled up early this am and went too the beach for the mower....All that went well and now I've got space to duck the bedroom furniture during construction repairs....Cuzzo found a sweet little red "88 Toyota extended cab with only 104XXX miles....It's in Mt. Pleasant, N.C. near Charlotte....Gonna haul out early tomorrow and go see it....Pulling the trailer in anticipation of hauling it home....Couldn't find a rider to go and really that just add complications so haul it is....Pics look good....miles are great....I love that series Toyota but it's still an "88 so I'm skeptical....We'll just have to see....One thing for damn sure....Wednesday we're not hauling out early...

So sorry hubs is in so much pain Fran. :( I feel just horrible for you. If there’s anything we can do for you or you need something please let us know.

ElDee good luck with scoping out that truck.

Bov, weather plays he*l on me too. It’s gotten windy here tonight after a decently mild day. This old, uninsulated house is awful with wind. Brrrr! I’m in a long nightgown, fuzzy feetie slip on’s (don’t judge) and under micro fleece sheets and blankets! Steady cold temps are one thing but whipping winds can kick rocks!

Mark, how’ve you been?

Wharf, where you at?

Hope everyone has a good night. I’m off to read my kindle. Good night!

Fran, I'm praying the bad part from the radiation will turn a corner into relief when it's finished.

LoL Tracy!! Living in Ct I would keep my room 55-60'ish degrees and be happy. Here if the temp is below 68 in the house, I'm in my thermal long nightshirt, sweat pants, socks, and yes...fuzzy slip on's over my socks!! And under my electric blanket! Pokey says I'm reconnected to my southern roots

Nothing like spending an hour on the phone with fraud prevention. I gotta love my Credit Union tho, they wanted to make sure Fasttech was a legit charge to my card. I have been thinking about trying an RTA for a long time, and last night Moon turned me on to a Reload clone that he really likes. With discount code I got it for $8...can't beat that!

I hauled the little Toyota home Tuesday....I had intended on a short bed regular cab....this one is an extended cab long bed....It has the cult classic 22RE engine and has 104XXX miles...New tires didn't hurt my feelings either...Being 30 years old there are issues....If I can get it El Dee spec it should be capable of one Hell of a lot of miles though.....Got it filled up with a good dose of Sea Foam to make sure the fuel system is cleaned...Lotta washy washy going on now....Planned on a good vacuuming today but alas it's raining again....It'll all come together in time and I'm confident it's a good little truck....Gonna try and get that dang propane heater plumbed and producing some heat soon....Best I get in that dang little Toyota and do some Christmas shopping first though.....
