Praying for clean carotids, Dee! Wharf, anxiously awaiting your results with prayer as well!

And yes, no cure for psoriasis. There are some biologics meds like Humara, but I'm not ready to jump on that ship yet. There were several factors that qualified me for my SSI Disability, but the Psoriatic Arthritis is the main qualifier. I actually rarely have skin flares, but the joint flare ups are what sidelines me. I think my leg is a double flare of both skin and joint.

My husband had suffered with psoriasis for a long time now. His got so severe at one point on his hands that people looked at him as if he had leprosy or similar.

He did take the biological injections for awhile. They helped a great deal. Some years ago he went into remission ( something happened to put him in remission. I don’t recall what) he has been clear ever since.

Since we moved back to Charleston, he is seeing some small signs of it but nothing major.

Fingers crossed for Wharf.

Right carotid had very, very slight buildup.....Left clean as a whistle....Blood flow looked great....We GOOD!!!
The tech today dug deeper into the actual cause of the blackouts....His theory is my habit of eating once a day....Said he thought my blood sugar went low....I got apples and bananas for snacks during the day...

ElDee that is fantastic news!!! So happy to hear it. Now you better be eating more than once per day, but I am sure this episode has convinced you of that. Hugs!

Wharf, I am keeping you in my thoughts and prayers until your tests are all behind you.

So tired and glad to see this stressful crazy week come to a close.

I love you all and hope you have a great weekend!

Great news, LD. I agree that the low bs makes a whole lot of sense.

Hubs and I actually eat a low GI diet. Small meals or snacks every few hours. IMHO everyone should eat that wAy keeps bs stable plus keeps energy up. Not to mention that it Revs the metabolism as well.

Hopefully by this time next week, Bella will have a fenced back yard to romp in! Had a fence guy come out yesterday late afternoon to measure. He and his wife were super nice, and he said he's pretty sure he has enough left overs from other jobs to cobble together the 70' total that I need. Said he'll weld up a drive thru gate for my driveway side. Told me they do a lot of work for Shaw AF Base and the prison system here in the state, so they are always looking for ways to give back to the community that has blessed them with good, steady work. Plus, small jobs help them keep their shop cleared out. I should hear an estimate hopefully today :)

That’s fantastic Bov! I can imagine what a pain in the rear it would be to have to be outside with the dogs every time they need a potty break. Especially in bad weather.
Years ago we put a doggy door on our side porch so I literally just had to open my house door and out they’d go.
Now I go out onto the side porch and put on their collars and open back door. Sapph always lets you know when she’s had enough of outside...she literally beats at the back screen door with her two front paws.
The drawback of this method is untangling the two cables all the time, but it keeps the cleanup a bit more contained.

I stopped by Sams club yesterday on my way through to deliver juice. I bought 3 bottles of the Turmeric Curcumin complex. One for Bo, one for my mom, and the other for my cousin. Today is day one! Keeping fingers crossed that it helps them with their aches and pains.
Thank you again Salem!

Depending of how severe they have inflammation, remember to tell them to take from 2-4 per day. The suggested amount on bottle is one per day. That is extremely low dose and would not work for me at all.

I started on 2 in morning and two at night first week then dropped down to two in morning. Grandson is spending weekend with me We were outside all day tossing football and my elbow started feeling a little sore. Took two more after dinner and all is well.

Fingers crossed that they help them. Do let us know.

I sure will! Bo scowled at me a bit for adding more pills to his daily arsenal, but he took them anyway! My mom started today with just one in the am and one in the pm, not sure of cousins plan although I told them what worked for you. :)

All of our vitamins and supplements are way cheaper at sams, and I never checked before! I usually get Gatorade zero cases there and a few other items but never looked into the medicine section. Will definitely shop for them there from now on.

I was disappointed to discover when I moved here that there are none of the bulk stores close enough to be worth a membership. No Sam's, Costco, BJ's...we don't even have a Home Depot! And Sumter is not a small town. I'd have to drive to Columbia, and that's too traffic-y for me

Night before last I took a bit of a tumble, and feeling it some today. I have a bad habit of sitting cross legged Indian style in my desk chair and was too lazy to get up to scoot my chair closer to my desk. Grabbed the desk and just pulled in the direction I wanted, roller got stuck on the edge of my rug, and inertia played out the rest of the scene. It had to have been a funny sight to see, I accepted my fate in the split second it took for the chair and me to hit the floor  Hip, shoulder, and pride a little bruised, but nothing broken! Natural reaction is to reach out and try to break your fall, but that's how Katie broke her arm. It's odd how quickly things pop into your head!! I decided the 'tuck and bounce' method was my best option :censored::rolleyes:

Dang it, Bov. I am so sorry that happened to you.

I have a bad habit of kind of shuffling when I walk. So I don’t pick my feet up enough at times. I took a fall face first at the old house. I had rubber shoes on and when I transitioned from our area rug back to the hardwood floors I went down hard face first. I was shocked at how much damage a simple fall like that did to me. It seriously took me about a month to recover. From that day forward I was much better about picking up my feet when I walk.

My husband used to have to go from Charleston to Sumter back in the 80s and 90s for work. He hated even spending a few days there because it was so desolate back then.

When we first moved from Ohio to sc in the mid 70s, we moved to Cola. there was nothing in Columbia believe it or not. The few businesses that were there closed at 6 pm every single night. It was dead city. I was a teenager back then and hated it there. How times have changed now.

I know first hand how fast a body can face plant...and have the ugly scar on my right eye for life to prove it!
I stepped off of my bilco door with backless sneakers and onto a rounded bit of concrete; rolled my ankle and launched me into a retaining wall (behind me!...I got skills I tell ya! Lol)
The only stitches in my life that I was awake for.
I’m glad you’re ok Bov and didn’t require medical attention!

Well aren't we a graceful bunch !! I am sore, but otherwise ok :)

Hoping to here from my fence guy today, I'm curious how much this is going to cost. When he was about to leave Friday I asked if we were at least talking under a grand and he said 'oh gosh...way under!!'

Gonna take my disabled neighbor to town today. His phone is his only internet, and it died on him. I hope for his wallet, it's only a battery replacement and not a new phone.
