Hey some good news today !!!

In August I was at 239lbs and 234lbs on Dec 28th.... Today I'm at 217lbs. I have had 2 bites of beef since the Dec 28th. I have been on a plant based / mediterranean diet. 4 - 8 ozs of chicken breast a day and salmon 2-3 times a month. A lot of it is raw veggies and hummas. The hummas has a lot of calories and I think that's whats slowing any more weight as I've been hanging around that 215 - 19lbs. But I have time to work on that.
My total Cholesterol in Dec went from 187 to 130...Triglycerides from 127 to 104 and LDL from 120 to 70..... and now below average risk !!!

As far as the Angiogram, I'm still waiting for the surgery.

That's great progress, Wharf! The cholesterol and triglyceride changes are really impressive!! Congrats

Fence guys are here...Bella will have a free range back yard later today

I have a check up with my Dr this afternoon. I've not been very good with my food choices lately, so I'm expecting my A1c to be higher than I'd like. My fasting glucose this morning was a midnight snack eye opener at 154  I gotta kick this carb addiction to the curb...no more excuses!!

Facing east, here's the south side fence going in. Where the truck is, there will be a double drive thru gate.

North side, with a walk thru gate.

Wow. They are moving fast. I guess that I never thought about how long it might take to put up a fence.

The neighborhood that we bought our house in is styled after downtown Charleston. They call them row houses. Each house has an alley behind it with a rear facing, detached garage.

This is a small neighborhood and the builder only had 2 houses left when we were looking. We had our choice of one that was 700 aft bigger than the one that we bought with a two car garage.

We liked this house better but it only has a single car garage. I knew from the start that would never work for us. So, we are having the garage remodeled into a two car garage.

The builder starts on Friday and will tear down a wall to existing garage so that concrete can be poured on Monday. Meanwhile, we will go for about two weeks with no wall and tarps covering our stuff that’s in there.

Not looking forward to the mess but am very much looking forward to having g the two car garage.

The back of the fence was already there, it belongs to the neighbor behind me. They were hanging the gates when I left for my Dr appt. When I got home, I took Bella out. She sniffed all along the fence line, and when she realized she wasn't tethered by her lead, she ran like a bat outa hell round and round the yard

Dr appt was fine. A1c still good, and Dr gave his approval for the turmeric with the caution to buy from a reputable manufacturer. Mentioned all the things we discussed here, black pepper and all. Wants me to take lasix for 3 days for the ankle and foot swelling, and then only if/as needed. Complete blood work drawn, it'll be a hot minute before results are back.

Salem, good luck on the garage addition! It'll be worth it when it's done!

This is from the info filed away deep in my memory....Pretty sure it was tumeric that was often contaminated with lead....You gotta watch for that....Personally I use Vita-Cost when buying things such as tumeric...YMMV....I also saw where a concentrated liquid form of tumeric was available....I've not investigated that at all...again....YMMVI gotta kick those carbs as well....Still sideways from kicking the nicotine.....at least that's the current excuse...

Wharf that's all great news....Keep up the hard work !!!!!!

Just back from the beach house...Still in demo mode....Floor of bathroom I just rehabbed is worse that expected....I used the easy lay Armstrong vinyl in there....Finally got it up hoping to re-use it....Found it still wet under there....There's an outdoor electrical outlet just above the wet spot under the linoleum...looked like the seal was broken so I got another seal and some fresh silicone in play now....Gotta see if that seals things up...Already looks like I'm gonna lose the linoleum and 3/4 more sheets of sheetrock....Just another day in pair ahh dice.....DANGITT!!!

Ha,ha!!!! Sounds like Bella is a very happy girl. You are a good doggy mama to go to such lengths to keep her healthy and happy. I know that you two deserve each other. :)

The best supplements to buy are those that are third party tested. That is the best way to be sure that they are as pure as possible and contain no contaminants of any kind.

I don’t buy many supplements but I do like Swanson’s Vitamins for quality and price.

    Working on it Dee ~

Today I had a cheat / congratulation day...

For lunch I had a Philly Cheese Steak from Jersey Mike's.
Now I've never had a Philly Philly Cheese Steak and I've only seen New Jersey from the Manhattan, but Jersey Mike's is the best I've ever had.
.... and Today did not disappoint :thumb:

I think I'll get another on in 90 days!!!

Ooh, Wharf!!! You bad, bad boy for mentioning Jersey Mike’s lol I love their Philly Steaks as well. Have not had one in many years.

We have a Place called Phillys not far from where I live. It is actually thee best philly cheese steak sandwich that I have ever had. I have not been there since we have been back in the area. Jersey Mikes runs a very close second though :D

    Lots going on here.
Turmeric is helping both my mom and skeptical Bo!
Maddie been down with a stomach virus off and on since last weekend; we are seeing her doctor today.
My cousins second opinion is better than first. As long as she tolerates chemo (starts Tuesday) this doctor says as fast as this cancer came is how fast it will be destroyed. He’s talking YEARS of life left, not weeks or months like she had been told.

    Philly cheesesteaks? Omg yes plz!!!

Yay for Bella fences to get the zoomies out safely!!!

All good news, Tracy. My heart truly goes out to you and your cousin.

This probably sounds horrible but after the amount of grief I have experienced in the last year and a half,I am kind of glad that my family is so small.

(((Hugs))) to you and yours, my friend.
