Well my boat customer who wasn't rushing me caused me to lay off the kitchen and go back to the boat...That boat hadn't been cranked in a good 5 years...I had a near sleepless night before I tried to crank it....would've bet every cent I've got those carbs were gonna have to come apart.. even called a boat mechanic I know in advance and found out he was 8 weeks behind....worried big time....Good thing is after a little tinkering it fired right up and ran fine...Better still it's SOLD!!!!!

So the kitchen.....I got all the crown up....Gotta fill the nail holes/add a coat of paint/caulk and the kitchen will be finished....Hella degrees and I'm beat so that is gonna simmer a few days....

Bro in law came by the shop yesterday....I got some chairs under a shade tree.....when he sat down a Red Wasp nailed him on the neck and flew straight into my face...Ninja skills kicked in....caught and crushed in one fell swoop....This am I got the boat cushions outta my bedroom to put them in the truck and haul to the shop....Parked the truck across the yard yesterday in the shade so I sat the covers on the propane deck...Took @ 4 trips with cushions and one bumped a propane tank....Yepp.... the Red Wasps started spilling out the bottom of the tank. I let them settle down and came back for the cushions....Got the cushions situated and went back to the propane deck with a can of wasp spray...There were about 10 or 12 nesting on the bottom of the tank....I sent them on to Hell where they belong....

Great pic of baby a Dallas Fran! He’s getting so big already. Great news!

ouch Mark! That’s a lotta yellow jackets. Glad that’s behind you now!

ElDee, I’m happy things all worked out in the boat department.

Between our pond and adding a bird bath in my yard, we see plenty of yellow jacket/wasp/electric blue wasp action. Thankfully they aren’t bothering us in the pool as much as they used to. (Preferring the less chlorinated drinking water I suppose!)
Anyways it’s an added benefit I hadn’t thought about when wanting to include a place for our feathered friends to splash around in. :)

I've never seen SIL wear a mask so when he came home wearing one I knew something was up. When he didn't take it off in the house that wasn't good. Turns out one of his co-workers was exposed. He'll be sleeping on the couch for some time. Yes, I will be careful. Disinfectant wipes will be getting extra use along with the hand sanitizer. No, I didn't forget hand washing.

Yay on the boat deal, Dee! And you sent those red devils right where they belong!

Tracy, it was in my old pool in Fl that I discovered I'm allergic to the red wasps. Glad your stinging devils prefer the other water hole!

Prayers for SIL and all of you, Fran...this thing is sure nothing to mess with.

One week countdown until deck build

I know everyone will be glad to see this in our rear view mirror. With all the bickering and conspiracy theories flying around, I'm not very optimistic about covid being gone any time soon.
I know and that’s pretty sad along with scary.

Well to top it all off now there's a hurricane setting it's sights dead on us...Not real powerful as I type but a hurricane none the less....Errbody say a prayer for the dead pine leaning towards my storage building at the beach...500 degrees out there and I got insurance ...

One can't be to careful with this covid stuff.....I had a buddy in Viet Nam when the covid reared up...I saw on Facebook what the Vietnamese did and they got it under control....To many selfish people here....Had to listen to a friend ..... about having to wear a mask at Applebee's....He didn't have one....they offered one....he made a scene and left....I prefer not to make life any more difficult than it is....I think it was John Way who said "life is hard.....it's even harder if you're stupid".......

Speaking of stupid.....some idiot caused quite a scene up here (next town over from my work) in a cigar shop when asked to wear a mask...he flat out refused, grabbed 2 cigars, turned and fired shots at the clerk!!! (Allowed to carry in PA)
Are you kidding me?!?! These people act as though they’re being asked to swallow cyanide for goodness sake! I can’t believe the level of ignorance!!!

Good grief, Tracy! Folks have gone bat sheet crazy!

This hurricane is probably gonna set back my deck install. We were planning the first part of the week, but I'm expecting that will have to be changed due to the weather.
Looks like the storm is coming up our way

The storm is forecast to make landfall around the NC/SC border....That puts my beach house in the vicinity of the most powerful part of the storm...My house here is just a shade left of the forecasted track center...Definitely in that red area....Not my first rodeo but I'm tired......
