Is is safe to cut a nicotine patch in half?

Good story! Did not see a way to reply to the article or contact Chris directly. (His avatar looks familiar...) Below is a repeat of a post I made eight months ago somewhere on ECF.

Quit four times with the patch before staying quit (six + years!) and have a
few observations.

The full strength name brand (Nicoderm?) 21 mg square patches broke me out in
a rash yet the round generic ones did not. Once down to 14 mg I could wear
either but typically used generic as they were cheaper. Last couple of times
never bought any 7 mg patches as I had discovered scissors:) Round generic
patches do not stay on well if cut in half and not at all if cut smaller,
but name brand ones can be cut any size and still stick.

Also discovered that they last about 30 hours for me, but do not advise this,
as every third day the new patch starts at bed time. Of course if you enjoy
extremely vivid dreams and are willing to take your own risks have at it.

Oh, and they do not make you quit craving a cigarette just takes the edge off
enough you can crave a smoke with out murdering your loved ones with an ax.

Why Nicotine Replacement Therapies Are a Threat to Public Health

Oops, I got took! Did look to see if it was dated April 1st but failed to spot that it was satire. Disregard below.

Wow, the crazy is strong with this one! Guess they got tired of bashing us and decided to spread their lies a bit further. And it never even mentions the one Big Pharma NRT product that actually is dangerous. Though do see it listed in the Related Posts down at the bottom.

Guess the old adage needs a tweak, "The enemy of our enemy is a raving loon!"

If you read that particular article (On E-Cigarettes Reviewed website, BTW), you can tell it's satirical. They are using the same type of language to attack NRT that the ANTZ have been using to attack vapor products for years. Basically, they took all the BS that's being published about nicotine in vapor products, and applied to NRT products.
