Tried a Vivi Mini and no airflow, need an adapter.
Actually on mine you have to hold down the- and + button at the same time to switch modes. I'm afraid that people are getting confused about what GiMike and I have. It was first called an Itube but that didn't work out when I started searching for it. Finally I got the best discription form Health Cabin on what it was.
eGo Variable Volt/Watt APV (only Body) [D-B4 APV] - $39.00 : Healthcabin Electronic Cigarettes - Wholesale and Retail
I can't speak for the others but this is what best describes ours. Hope Mike will agree. After all these are the instructions I used and then found out it was exactly what the B/M had that I forgot to get. Hey I'm a guy I don't need no stinking instructions!!!!!!!!!! LOL.
I didn't even notice that part, about holding it down for 10 seconds. I just switched it over to average (num 2). Wow, seem to get a lot more vape that way. That's pretty awesome.
I did 3 hulasI tried it a second time for fun, but didn't do any better lol Andrew and Sara were pretty great though. Very good people. I do like being able to go from mini to max mode by adding in the tube. I tried my regular vivi no and didn't get any air through it either, but I figured it's just cause I'd set it aside for so long and hadn't used it, that it wasn't making any vapor. I soaked it in some hot water and let it dry, but I figured I'd killed it. I might try it on my adapter and see how it works. But yeah, I didn't buy any batteries when I bought my gripper as I wanted to take it to a local store first and try their batteries to make sure they worked, as people were complaining about batteries not fitting, and I didn't have any ecig batteries yet. Just my egos. These don't have a brand name, just colored red 1800 mah made in china batts. I bought a 2000 mah efest button top IMR from okcvapes and the dude there said he wouldn't use a protected battery in it anyway, he prefers IMR. I'm not a big fan of one or the other anyway, so I got an IMR to try it out. 200 more mah than my flat tops anyway. I think I could use a button top 18350 too, as the flat top I'm using that I got from the flavor vapor store seems to be a bit loose too. Not so much that it loses connection like the flat top 18650s though. Ok, off to do some shopping with the fiancée. I may be back later tonight.
I thought that was to change voltage to wattage.
On mine you press both buttons to change modes. mode 1 is vv and mode 2 is vw.
Actually he was correct on that. If you hold down both the + and - buttons, you switch between VV and VW. If you hold the + button for 10 seconds, it switches between a num 1 and a num 2, which I'm guessing is the RMS and average features.
The 10 second + press is to change the voltage/wattage to and from average and VRMS.
It's to do with Pulse Width Modulation, in average mode what you set isn't what you get.
For example, whilst the average is 3 volts - actual delivered voltage maybe anything up to 4.5 volts.
This explains it to a certain degree;
VRMS actually gives you very accurate voltage and it makes this device a "game changer" in my opinion.
So I presume you guys are using this in "RMS" mode?
I'm not 100% sure the all the versions switch from average to VRMS - apparently if you press the + key for 10 seconds, the no.1 option is RMS and 2 is average mode.
