So far I'm impressed with the 5 concentrated flavors I bought and mixed up a single-flavor bottle of each on April 7th. I use a 100%VG nic base (from elsewhere, as I haven't needed to order any nice lately, in 12mg nic strength for my first batches.) I do vape my unflavored nic base at different strengths, about half the time, so when I want to vape flavors, I don't need much. I use a few drops in 2ml batches of nic base, and in about week's time they are good to vape, and keep getting stronger as time goes on. If I haven't vaped them up, in a few weeks, I dilute with unflavored nic base if they've become too strong, but that's my problem and doubt if others do this lol.)

I don't do anything to speed up the process of steeping or aging. I start with very small % mix and shake, open, sniff, shake, let it set another day or so, direct drip a drop or 2 and taste/vape, back on the shelf, and so on, every day.

It's been about a week and 4 of the flavors are true to it's name!
Pancakes, yes. Dead on!
Boysenberry Jam, OMG, exactly like the taste (of the food product) I've eaten on toast in the morning!
Apple Pie a la Mode, the warm apple, from the oven, a bit of spice, crust, and a small scoop of ice cream, melting on top!
Minty Menthol is exactly what I was looking for --not too much mint or menthol, but a nice combination of the 2!

Next time I see a sale I'm going to try most of the other flavors. I'm really digging these so far.

Thanks Nude Nic:)

Got my absolutely clear nicotine yesterday and a flavor sampler pack. Mixed up some 100% VG Mayan mocha at 7.5%, very berry, and honey tobacco.

Logic says I should steep them and in the case of very berry I think a week will improve it quite a bit. I can tell it is going to be good.

Honey tobacco is what I have been looking for in a tobacco vape, mellow sweetness and REAL tobacco flavor. Delicious!

Mayan mocha without steep is complex and wonderful. I love the spice notes and the creamy chocolate.

And the bottle of already made patchouli vanilla has assuredly made it into the rotation! I was hesitant because I am not a patchouli fan but it is so subtle I am in love!
Edit: didn't know they discontinued cake batter flavor concentrate. and had ordered it. Jake substituted pancakes and
told me if I didn't like it he would replace it with something else! He had even answered my personal call with a long voice message about why they discontinued it. I was super impressed, almost as impressed as I am with the nicotine concentrate! I am going to give the pancakes the old college try. Maybe I will love them. Thanks to a great company for striving to help their customers and being so accessible!

Jake, I could use your chemistry knowledge here, if you would be so kind. As far as providing sonication as a form of mixing/steeping; what would you opinion of using an ultrasonic processor/homogenizer? The unit's maximum power is 200 watts and is tuned to 20Khz. Do you think it wou'd have any ill effect on the flavor molecules? Also would you recommend processing via this route before or after the addition of nicotine? Thanks! Looking forward to hearing your opinions.

Please do tell why Cake Batter is discontinued. We have both the liquid and the flavor concentrate and would like to know if we should toss them!

as long as you are not sonicating enough to induce a ton of heat, you should be okay :) Make sure you immerse your solution in an ice bath while sonicating, and start with 1min cycle times. I love this process as it alows for good mixing without much nicotine degradation (low-heat), so feel free to sonicate a nicotine-laden solution. Just watch the heat!

.
Any updates on this? I would like to order but would love some disclosure on acetoin/and or diketones. Please and thank you.

Sorry we have been slammed with recent FDA info as of the last few days and I haven't got around to answering! FYI, all of our flavors fall under the limits of detection for these three molecules. None are added in the flavor manufacturing process, everything starts with the natural material without any added synthetic flavorings in the reflux. If any of those three molecules are present, they fall under the limits of detection @ 0.4mg/mL, meaning we havent' found them in solution! I wish I had enough adequate testing info on each flavor to publish an MSDS. Hoping recent FDA news won't curtail development in that dept :(

No danger to you apparently was just a separation issue.

Correctamundo. Seemingly patrticulates began to crash out of solution in a few customers' aliquots, but we were unable to replicate the scenario in the lab. It's been a frustrating issue to tackle, but I'd hate to see it continue. I know so many have loved the flavor, but in order to maintain a place on our shelves, I feel the product integrity must be up to a certain "standard" -which we feel we haven't met :(

If you have an aliquot of the cake batter flavor you are unsatisfied with, please give us a ring for an immediate replacement!! Apologies for this unforeseen scenario!

And in lieu of this past week's recent semi-disrupting news from the FDA, we want everyone to know that we a Nude Nicotine have prepared for this moment! The pharmaceutical style production environment and documentation we live by wont need much editing before submitting for applications from the FDA, but we are beginning to bring in outside auditing agencies to evaluate our market potential.

ECF houses a core of extremely valuable vaping activists who ACTUALLY VOICE THEMSELVES, and we couldn't be more appreciative of this fact. We'd like to extend a coupon code to you all in the hopes that you can give a few DIY supplies to a friend/family member looking to start their DIY adventure. Only in numbers can we bring to light how important this DIY community is :)

Use the coupon code DIYtillIdie15 for 15%-off the ENTIRE Nude Nicotine website, from now until Friday of next week (5/2)!

For now we all must continue to vape strong and support the DIY community by fighting for unflavored DIY nicotine solutions to remain available on the open market. Write to your congressman, comment on this post (Regulations.gov), and PLEASE voice your opinion that eLiquid DIY supplies, just like hand-rolling tobacco and other DIY tobacco items, must remain available to the public.

Thx for the "regulatory" discount  I know I am determined to never give big tobacco another penny and give the "protect Marlboro act" a good run for the money.

I have to ask, how about California's restrictions? I've recieved a couple of urgent sounding emails this past week about AB1500 saying the bill could restrict their ability to do online sales in the future. That's alarming IMO. I'm not in Calif. so I don't know the landscape there - but a heads up would be nice with local ban threats.

Thanks for taking the time to explain, but this is just not making sense at all

First this:

HeyJin! Our flavors are completely free of diacetyl, and we like to use alternative molecules in order to achieve creamy buttery custard flavors. We've found the sharp butter cream taste from those three molecules specifically is something coincidentally all of us at the lab are not fond of, so the decision was fairly easy for us to decide to move to flavors free of diacetyl or aceitone.

...which seems clear, that some kind of molecule that achieves 'creamy buttery custard' taste IS added.

Then this (correcting the previous typo of "acetoin free" ):

No you are not crazy, TYPO detected! The original statement should read diacetyl free, not acetoin free. We have detected quantities over the LOD for acetoin, but never for diacetyl (at least for lots in production :) tons of batches have made their way to the dumpster with amounts over the LOD with diacetyl in the past). The flavors with cream bases that have the potential for diacetyl have been eliminated and replaced with bases manufactured with acetoin as a substitute.

...so any batches with diacetyl over the LOD (limit of detection .4mg/mL), were disposed of, and "bases manufactured with acetoin" replaced the diacetyl (which seems that acetoin is added).

Now this (from above):

Sorry we have been slammed with recent FDA info as of the last few days and I haven't got around to answering! FYI, all of our flavors fall under the limits of detection for these three molecules. None are added in the flavor manufacturing process, everything starts with the natural material without any added synthetic flavorings in the reflux. Something has to be added to a non-creamy natural flavor/extraction to create a creamy flavor, right? Example: Coffee Creme flavor. Those of us that have made our own coffee extractions know that they are not creamy on their own...some type of creamy flavor has to be added to make them creamy. But it seems like you're saying that the creaminess comes from the 'natural material', and the acetoin molecule is not added (but you say above that you have substituted acetoin in place of diacetyl)

...everything starts with the natural material without any added synthetic flavorings in the reflux
...but then acetoin (and/or other man/lab created molecules) are added, right?

Please clarify! (as soon as you have the time, of course :)

Also (just fwiw), regarding 'undetectable amounts'...

Frustratingly for those learning more & more about these 'inhalation risk chemicals' (diacetyl, acetoin & acetyl propionyl), typical "under the limit" testing (less than .4mg/mL) is a cause for concern. For example, if a chemical is present at a mere .2mg/mL ("non detected"), then that equates to 200,228 ppb. If it's present at .35mg/mL (still "non detetcted), then it's present at 350,399 ppb. And with the suggested NIOSH RELs (recommended exposure limits), being 8-31ppb for inhalation/vapor, even mixed at 5% into an e-juice is cause for concern.

PLEASE TAKE ACTION!!! CA Assembly Bill AB-1500 will effectively shut down our online sales, disallowing the export of nicotine products from our laboratory to anywhere in the US without exorbitant costs. Restrictions would place an extremely high fee on shipping requiring age-verification upon delivery, and to our minds, that is a service that USPS Priority Mail does not offer. If you have free time on Wednesday morning, PLEASE come join us in Sacramento. We will be closing down the laboratory and making the trek from San Diego to voice our opinions on AB-1500, as well as the Senate Bill SB-648. We will gladly try and see who is driving northwards to find transportation for those in need, and do our best to make a appearance with information to state our opinion.

IT IS IMPERATIVE TO VOTE NO ON AB-1500, AS YOUR RIGHT AS AN INDIVIDUAL IN THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA (AND THE RECEIPT OF PRODUCTS FROM CALIFORNIA-BASED VENDORS) TO PURCHASE ELECTRONIC CIGARETTE PRODUCTS WILL BE EFFECTIVELY CURTAILED.

Currently is it possible to buy cigarette-cut tobacco from online retailers delivered to California address. This logic behind this bill appalls us to think that electronic cigarettes must be regulated more heavily than standard tobacco products. Thank you for your logic CA Assembly/Senate. We appreciate your well-thought-out arguments...

UPDATE! there may be hope if the newly ammended version of AB-1500 allowsfor ID-checks upon receipt of packages. The service is $5.50 for priority mail packages. However, the process would be EXTREMELY lengthy as packages must be accepted in-person at the local post office. DMM 503 Extra Services

I hate hearing this, is there anything I could do as a non CA resident to help? It would be awful not being able to go Nude!

Please voice your opinion to: Eric.Johnson@asm.ca.gov with the subject line "AB 1500 / SB 648 Testimony."
