My little brother is in Marine Corps JROTC. He wants to go into the Navy to be a corpsman.

That's awesome! Good for him. One of my twins was going to be a Marine, even signed the papers to go in, but when it came time, he decided it wasn't for him. Now he works at McDonald's instead! :facepalm:

He wants to be a surgeon, and since the Marines don't have their own medics he's going to the navy. My mother hates the idea.

I think it's great. And a wonderful way for him to become a surgeon. The military will pay for it that way! I wish my other twin had went that way. He's in college now, pre-med, but wouldn't go the military route. Although he did get a full scholarship, so I guess I can't complain. :D
