Here's a couple of builds from this morning...

This is what I want. A single coil build that gives good vapor and flavor. My normal builds are in the .5-.6 ohm range, but from reading about the Nuppin, most are having to go a little higher, so I shot for .7ohm.

26g, .69ohm. 1/16 ID

I set up another build. This one is dual coils, 28g, .76ohm, 3/32 ID. I added a tilt this time.

It's decent. The vapor and flavor is no where near what I'm getting on my ODIN, but at least it isn't burning up the KGD immediately.

I just received mine (to go on my new REO LP/SL, thanks Rob!) and I love this little thing. Honestly, I don't get quite the intense clouds as the Odin but to be honest with you, I think the flavor profile is way, way better on my Nuppin. Its a fiddly little build to actually coil up but I will recommend it to everyone who asks.

coils look pretty decent. Is there a hot leg on the single coil you have set up? I agree with FB on the cotton. Looks like you could use half the amount you are using. How long a draw do you normally take. I have found with mine I am in the 4-5sec range per draw and get 2-3 good hits at a time w/ RxW.

No hot legs, and I agree about the cotton. I usually cut the tails of the wick where they just touch the deck, but I felt like I needed to get more juice to the coil so I left them longer. 4-5 seconds is an average draw for me I'd say.

I've been using the dual build for a couple of hours now and it definitely improved as it broke in. I guess I'll just keep tinkering with it.

Study the air hole placement, the Nuppin requires the coil to be higher off the deck than most RBAs.

Here are two of my builds

Hey FB (and anyone really),

what size o-ring are you using underneath this atty? & have you adjusted the 510 out?

I tried using a thick oring like usual, but it was too thick (I think its 10 x 1.5mm ? The bottle cap oring i think).... So I decided to not use an oring at all. On one of my setups that works (besides not having the airholes where I prefer)... and on the other one, it was leaking slightly around the base/catchcup, so I used the small oring that comes with the RM2 underneath. It works, but eventually I get a very, very small ring of juice around the base of that one. I don't really wanna adjust the 510s (mostly because I have a stellar coil/rXw setup, so can you recommend a decent sized oring? What is it, 10 x 1 mm or sumpin'?

( btw, I haven't touched my odins sinces these arrived....I almost want to sell them, but am thinking about just hanging on to them for backups ;) )

I asked him to back mine out for the LP before sending it. He is super helpful as you already know.:)

This may be a moot point with the new adjustable 510s from Rob.

Ah yes, he did offer that service to me as well.

Good point about the new hoople-proof 510's. Hmmm... I wasn't thinking that was a big deal, but now I'm thinking about all the custom tweaking my atties would benefit from.

It's not. Remember, that's a 3/32 ID. It takes quite a bit more cotton to fill that up compared to a 1/16 ID.

Regardless of what size coil, (you actually have both listed above), from what I see in either the single, (1/16"), or the duals, (3/32"), was merely giving you my opinion that the wicks "look" like they are choking off the coil. Even the burnt wick you show being pulled out of the 1/16" coil, looks way too thick. Your wick should be no larger than the "inside" diameter of the coil.

I gotcha. I didn't intend to ruffle your feathers. I wicked the Nuppin exactly how I've wicked every other RDA I've ever owned.

Not ruffled at all... Just pointing out the obvious that is don't matter what size coil you wrap, if you use too much cotton it will not vape properly. I would personally re-wick and use half of what you are using diameter wise with your cotton. Just my :2c:

FYI, this is exactly the reason I no longer use any kind of cotton wicking. I've never had these problems with Ready-X-Wick at all. Perfect wick, perfect vape everytime... Not to mention the average wick lasts 2+ months with regular dry burning to clean them up... I have vaped on one set-up for almost 4 months before the coils degraded so much they had to be changed. There was still nothing wrong with the RxW, just the coils needed changing.
