Heard about it today on NPR.

I wish I could remember the guy they soundbited, but he said something like, "If we can up the legal age limit from 18 to 21 to buy cigarettes, we can save a whole generation from kids being addicted to the world's most dangerous drug."

Well, technically, nicotine is a drug, and it is probably the world's most addictive substance, but it's most definitely not "the world's most dangerous" drug.

I wonder if this will affect the vaping community. Moral situations and such.

It's already 19, like ... do they want not even college kids to smoke? You can't buy a pack in high school anymore unless you got left back twice or something, I don't see what increasing the age to 21 would do at all, it is stupid. But whatever this is only for the city, not the whole state, so whatever.

Just like outlawing or regulating anything, there will always be ways to get them. They could up the legal age to 50 and there would still be a slew of kids smoking. Doesn't matter what you regulate, people will find a way. Its human nature. Plus, who wants real cigs when you can vape Blu-Bacco by MBV which tastes like blueberry pancakes? Blueberry pancakes > Rat Poison every day of the week :vapor:
