Thanks for the info ymvilla. Yeah, I know that it's not the FDA that is suing, and if I understand it right, it's the e-cig manufacturers that are claiming it is a tobacco product, not the FDA. (My head is still spinning). Good to know that the legislation doesn't specify e-cigs at this point, but I agree with the others that if the ruling comes down in favor of the e-cig companies, there will be a quick bill pushed through saying something incredibly stupid like, "All tobacco product legislation now applies to liquid forms of nicotine" Which will take years to sort out, but cause no end of problems in the mean time. (And rake in some bucks for Unca' Sam)

rosa, it isnt really about them wanting to help anyone at all. It is all about control. Th gvernment works on control. If they feel they loose control over anything then they freak out. It is like the fear maintains control. Degredation leads to control. Making people feel usless leads to control. It is manipulation 101. The government feels like they need to control everything in order to maintain power. If they let one little thing slip, then another will fall through their cracks and another until they are effectivly dethroned. Wow that sounds really paraniod lol

Well I PMed an attourney friend who lets just say is very knowledgable about the whole ecig thing and he pretty much thinks PACT will shut down all internet ordering and may cause problems with transporting tob proucts across state lines. Ill just say I think my friend knows what he is talking about but I hope hes wrong.

Apparently your attourney friend knows more about this then the lawyers at Swedish Match, and every other knowledgeable person who has looked at the bill, as they have come up with a very different take on it. This will not make it illegal to get snus and snuff from on-line stores. We will have to pay state and fed taxes and go through age varification, but from everthing I have heard from reliable sources it will not be illegal or impossible to get it.

Of the three on-line sellers of Swedish snus with US warehouses one has already said he will continue to sell after the bill goes into effect, and will be in complete compliance with the law. No grey of black market necessary as he has no plans on going there. I expect the other two to follow shortly.

Brewster, This is about the 3rd time you have come out with unfounded and false statement about the PACT act, all of it unfounded and false. Zip it up.
