Upon closer examination, it appears that my insulator is already cracked!!!
That's probably why my unit is so loose, sloppy, and leaky. I couldn't even see it at first, I had to zoom in with my camera to get a better view.

I have 2 black ones that I received from GearBest about 2 weeks ago which are v1. Paid $21.96 each and couldn't resist. It took almost a month to get them but they are both working perfectly using Ti twists and single wire in TC. These 2 are now my go to attys along with my Aromonizer of course. That is at least until my two Zephryus 2 attys arrive in about 3 weeks. These irresistible holiday discounts are going to break the bank. lol

It really is hit or miss but from what I've read it appears that the Black has the issues. Different product line?

My Silvers are fine the Black had issues. But when they are good they are very good!

jefx, you should probably take that dead deck out to the yard and bury it before the ground freezes :)

This is why I'm not a big fan of attys that you can't disassemble.

Another thing that makes the Crius particularly difficult is the juice flow control. When you screw on the tank it screws into the top portion of the base and then spins independently from the bottom part of the base. This is also one of the features I like the most and where I think the seepage at the afc ring comes from. There is no seal there because the tank/juice flow has to spin and a seal would prevent this.

To answer your question, I believe that if you squeeze it too much you'll break the ceramic. The only thing squeezing the deck further in will do is tighten the afc ring. It will do nothing for the seepage issue in the seam.

jefx...ther ya go....all you had to do was think about "squeezing" it in more and you broke it!! lol

If you got it from Wet Vapes, they'll take care of ya.

Just want to reiterate, the one I had probs with and tore apart was a black version 2 with larger post holes.

My ver 3 with V-deck has been working fine.....for now. lol

Was gonna order the v3 deck and a few things from Wet since it's 15% off today. But the coupon code isn't working, anyone else try it yet?

How can it crack like that. I thought it had a peek insulator.

Edit: I have read the previous posts and it seems , it is a ceramic insulator:)
I won't have to be afraid of melting the insulator while dry burning.
