Could we use jb jet weld or similar where the pin meets the deck just a thin coat to cover any gaps? Basically caulking the cracks. Maybe I think to much.
JB Weld does work as an insulator, btw.

1, this ceramic material is more evirenment than others , but it is friable.
2, the insulator is always to be cracked while producing , but it won't effect its works and will not leek.
3, we have fixed this problem already, the cracked number will be less , but still exist."

So you did not trim the cotton to taper it? I might try that next time PITA to have to trim cotton every time you wick imo.So I tried turning the post with a screwdriver and I could barely get it to budge.
On another note, I rewicked it yet again this morning...and so far no dry hits. Still vaping it at 45 watts and too scared to go higher but I will incrementally increase the wattage to maybe 55 or so since my build is now 0.17 (24g SS316L 9 or 10 wrap 2.5mm ID contact coils). So I used just enough cotton to barely provide resistance when pulling through the coils. But this time instead of folding the ends down into the channels (I was essentially ensuring the end of each strand made it into the juice channels), I fluffed the ends a bit and just placed the very bottom corners of the wick ends into the channels. So about 60% or so of the cotton on each end of the wick is just sitting on top of the juice channel. I would of thought that this wicking method would either not wick well (because a big portion of the wick is not touching the juice channel at all) or lead to leaking (because so little of the wick is actually "plugging" up the channels).
I guess I was wicking it like an RDA where I made sure that the cotton looked like an upside down U and each end was pointed down and into the juice channels. Currently my wicks look more like just fluff balls on each end with a tiny bit showing through the circles. I experimented with both wicking methods with my Billow V2s and the latter (and currently successfully performing method) always led to dry hits in the Billow.
I feel like an idiot now, lol. But, the verdict isn't out yet on if this method will promote leaking or not.
To bad. I do like this tank its easy to set up, easy to wick, but the deck is to small. My MT with claptions is walking the dog on this Crius. Oh well i hope the griffin will be what i want when it comes in. Going to build with 24g now and see if it helps any.Yep, but you can't blame a guy for trying
I went all the way down to a 1.5mm bit and still couldn't get the chimney not to short the coils. Not sure why I tried the 1.5mm because they probably would have wicked like crap.
got a pic?After a week of the Crius working perfectly and being bone dry....It started leaking yesterday after I rewicked it. It was leaking at the seam between the juice control and the AFC. I rechecked my wicking and it was perfect...didn't get why it was leaking. Later I rechecked the set up again and noticed that one of the coils was lower than usual (1 mm or so off the deck) otherwise everything else was ok. I raised the coil by 1mm or so....put everything back together and it has been vaping perfectly leak free since. Since the air holes on the deck are so huge I guess the coil was spitting juice down into it. I can't believe that just raising the coil a mm made such a huge difference.
I used UD Kanthal A1 Clapton 26ga+32ga wire with 2.0, 2.5mm it fits forgot how many wrapsI guess claptions are out of the question with this tank?

Got my replacement black v3 deck from wet vapes today. There was a slight crack in the insulator, but much better than the original one. I could only see a slight crack on one side. Can't blame wet vapes, they have provided great customer service. They sent he replacement deck via priority shipping. Just unhappy with the manufacturer, obs!!!
