ok I made time for this and threw my first build in it.
1. the build deck, which was my only real concern, is a joy to put a build on
2. I wicked it similar to a Cthulhu, making obvious adjustments for how the Crius deck differed. Just enough wick to sit in the holes without being densely packed.
3. the build quality is excellent
4. the black has a nice matte finish which matches my BMI pretty well
5. it wicks great with bubbles after every draw and nothing resembling a wicking problem
6. airflow is greater than a Cthulhu but not like an rda. For me, the Crius has perfect rta airflow.
7. No leaks on fill thanks to a well thought out system of top fill, juice control and airflow control
8. The post holes were plenty big for dual 26 ga, honestly I don’t know if mine is the original or revised, but they didn’t look small to me and were no issue at all.
9. This tank vapes well at 45w, better at 50w, but at 60w I could get a dry hit. That is probably my wicking more than the tank. I am settling at 52.5w and airflow 3/4 open. I have never run any tank at anything less than wide open airflow if that tells you anything about the airflow on this.
10. vape is warm-ish which I like, but you could run this at 40-45w with wide open air and it’d be cool
11. no leaks or condensation at the air holes as of yet
12. it’s smallish, which is good
13. vapor is dense and plentiful. Watching Youtube
reviews it seemed like maybe that was an area where the Crius wasn’t a top performer. Nope, I’d say that vapor is thicker and more plentiful than my Cthulhus.
14. flavor is great, easily on par with my Cthulhus
so my initial impression of the Crius is that it’s a home run. It’s exactly what I wanted my next tank after the Cthulhu to be, unlike the Aromamizer which I can’t find a way to love. When I throw my next build in I am going even lighter on wick in the holes because it looks like I got one or two of them right but the other two likely have too much wick in them. It does appear to drink juice more than any tank I’ve owned. So far no juice on my mod, which was my big gripe about the Cthulhu.
Really nicely made with a good build deck and useful juice and airflow control, and thoughtful top filling. Great flavor and vapor. Probably as good as this style of tank is going to get. I’ll have better thoughts and criticisms after a day or two, but right now I’m thrilled with this tank.
