I dont have to use two coils do I? I just want to test the single coil I just made for now.

Thanks. :)
If you don't plug the other liquid channels you'll get leaking. Well, gurgling on the Engine as it has top fill. But it's likely that the atty will be basically useless unless you use dual coils or plug the unused liquid channels.

Sorry Ken. I realise what a stupid question that was. You had already said that on your Wotofo Sapor your running a single coil by plugging the second coil juice channels with 3.5mm audio jack dust protectors in one of your previous posts.

Do'h! :D

If you can build a coil on the diagonal and split your wick ends I guess you can. that or wait to see if those audio plugs properly block it up. Personally, as you already have dual coils in place, I'd make sure you have your wicking down for that build, and when you're comfortable with that, try a single. Do remember if you do a single build, the airflow will not be directly over your coils, which may be an issue fr performance. Which is why "knowing" the tank is a good idea before running it in a novel way.

Sensible advice. Thanks Eskie.

I'll make another coil me thinks. :) I probably need the practice. I'm using the 3mm Kuro Concepts coil winder. 10 wraps. However I think I will purchase one of these:

It will help to hold the coil in place properly when attaching it to the pillars.

Hi everyone. I hope y'all doing good.

I successfully made 2 new coils for my OBS Engine. Kanthal A1 24ga, 12 wraps over a 3.0mm coil wrapper. They both glow evenly and I ended up with 0.56ohm. Wicked with Wick n Vape Cotton Bacon. NO Popping (yet). I'm just trying to find my sweet spot with the wattage. Started at 8w and working my way up... pretty quickly :D

Yeah, that build should take more than 8W without a problem.:D

Do remember that unlike a factory coil, you usually saturate the coil and wick before installing the deck. A slow break in isn't nearly as important as with a factory coil. Not to say hit it with 100W out of the box, but you can start a lot closer to where you will probably wind up. A 0.5 ohm dual coil I would start maybe 30w and then edge it up until you're happy with the vape.

Yeah I'm aware that I need to saturate the coils and wicks before installing the deck and I have done so. I got up to about 30 watts last night and gave up as I was not getting much from it in terms of hit and clouds. I'm not really bothered about how much I get in the way of clouds but there was hardly anything coming off. Maybe I need to go a lot higher on the wattage but it was getting pretty hot. I'm going to experiment with the wattage again later today. I vaping with my Gamucci pen type vaporizer at the moment. Jam on Toast flavour. ... yummmmmmmmmm. :) And watching the new Independence Day film. Very good so far. :D

Thanks Eskie :)
