Provari MK1 using standard 18490 AW batteries!

My Provari using the above batteries and not one battery in particular (tried 2 new ones as well!)

It will work fine for ages then you press button and nothing! No light nothing?

Press button 5 Times and it will cycle through menu still though?

Battery life not problem as just done it with 3.8V remaining?

I am using LR cartomiser 1.8ohms set at 3.9V

to reset unscrew and screw cap on and fine again???

Any clues anyone please?

It seems to have settled down now and only done it once today?

But another glitch it doesn't flash to warn you low battery voltage?

It flashes when you insert battery etc and all functions work, but no warning flashes it just cuts off at 3.3V as it should!

In answer to batteries yes they genuine AW and have tried 3-4 different ones same problem?

It not getting any younger so as long as it still works will have to live with it till funds allow a new one :(

We need a UK repair outlet ha-ha!

Amps are calculated using the formula voltage/resistance. At 3.9v on a 1.8 ohm atty you are a little above 2 amps. The V2 goes to 3.5 amps. I can't find specs on the Provari-1 and nothing at all on the Provari MK1 at the ProVape site. If it's a Provari V1, then you can send it off to Provape and have it upgraded to V2 electronics for about $20 from what I hear.

I'd clean the battery connections and threads with a Q-tip and some alcohol. Use some Noalox on the threads to prevent oxidation. I'm thinking that since you can rotate the end cap and restore operation there's some resistance caused by oxidation in the chain of connections. Take the spring out of the end cap and clean it and the slot it fits into, also. A buildup of resistive tolerances in conductivity can cause all kinds of weird things at low voltage levels. Oxidation will lower the current delivery characteristics. You want everything to be bright and shiny!
