hey all,

I watched some videos about de-bridging 510 atty's and figured why not.

I was able to get the bridge out fairly easy, and everything looks ok in there, dry fired it to see if it worked and dripped in 3-4 drops, loaded it onto a vision spinner and the taste was alot better.

But.. something weird happened, maybe 4-5 drags and then the taste was muted (i figured it was drying out by now)

the odd part is when i finished that last puff, between letting off the button and removing the drip tip from my pie hole, i experienced a little "pop" and.. (best way to describe it is a pop of extra air, not quite puff out your cheeks and not from just puffing on the drip tip )

I visually checked the coil and it still looks ok and fires.

any thoughts?

I've experienced something similar with cartotanks when they flood, I don't really use attys that frequently so I've never experienced it with them.

I'd imagine it's something along the lines of a big glob of juice covering part of the coil. It stops vaporizing properly, then once the blob gets hot enough it kind of explodes and then the coil vapes normally again. Whenever it happens I notice that the vape is cooler entering my mouth, then after it pops if snaps back to being very warm again.

Or maybe some sort of air bubble? I don't really know how that would work but anything is possible I guess.

I've never experienced anything like positive pressure coming from an Atty or carto though, maybe one of the air holes in the ceramic cup was clogged, and as you were lightly sucking as you ended your draw, the air hole opened up and the draw instantly became much lighter, so it just felt like there was positive pressure because of the difference of a hard draw to an easy draw.
