Odd taste when refilling?

I just refilled a used prefilled tobacco cart from elsewhere, and when I tried it out, I got a chlorinated taste... Almost like water from a swimming pool that was recently treated.

Now I would understand it if I had washed the cart first, but I didn't. I filled the cart with Wowbacco 24mg, which to me lacks any hint of what I tasted when put in a fresh cart. Any ideas what caused this? My only thought is that it could be a chemical reaction between the prefilled's remaining liquid and the Wowbacco...

These are cartomizers that jc is referring to ..... I know the "cart" makes it a tad confusing for atty users

In my short-term experience with carts, it seems to me that a cart will continue to work for more than a week, but the taste changes. Doesn't matter what juice you use, it just tastes funky.

Try cleaning the cart. Sucks about the wasted juice....

I think you've already gotten some good advice -- putting wowbacco on top of another juice in another vendor's carto may taste funky....different fill materials, etc. I'd probably try a reverse taryn spin to save the juice and then clean the carto well....

After vaping on it for awhile, it seemed to fry the batting much more quickly than usual. It was a V2 red flavor cartridge from their father's day kit (I had $75 in store credit there, so the kit only cost me a little over a dollar). I'm not crazy about the flavor they came in, so I just vaped it down a bit and topped it off. I suspect Snow is correct and I answered my own question.

I'm just gonna chalk this up as a learning experience and wash out the remainder of these damn carts! It appears I've made myself a bit of a warning to others

oh yeah...didn't know it was a v2 cart. That was actually the first kit I bought before I found v4l for 808's
I now have those v2 cartos in a baggie for Only-When-Hell-Freezes-Over-Emergency-Only use! but should probably have just sent them to snowdragon for fireworks fodder
