There's a REAL cool guy playing this Friday night at McDavid Studio(Bass Hall) named Paul Thorn. I don't care what kind of music you like('cept maybe rap) you can't help but love this guy. Google him & check out his music. He's probably my favorite new artist in the last 10 years. I'd love to see some Blue lights in the crowd.

You ask for it. The joint I mentioned for our social, is having a live band next Wednesday nite. The band is the Mace Maben Band. I've been going to see this guy since I was 18. Though he's playing a different style of music than he did in the 70's, he still rocks the house. He's a true pro & a treat for the ears. There's no cover charge & the beer's cold & I will be there for sure
On Thursday nite at the VFW in Hurst, another DFW legend, Buddy Whittington will be playing a semi private party. If anyone asks, just tell them I invited you. There's no cover,but it's a SPCA fund raiser so be perpared to make a donation to the cause. Just google Buddy & you can hear some of his music. He is quite a talent,he'll go from Merle Haggard to Led Zepplin & pull it off. As a bonus, I may sit in
And if you're on a budget, but still would like to hear Paul Thorn & don't mind driving, he will play Saturday nite at Dan's Silver leaf in Denton. It's $25 a person less than the Fort Worth show.

I hope no one drove to Denton Saturday to see Paul Thorn. I looked at the schedule wrong, he will be there this Thursday night.
His show at Mcdavid Studio Friday night was GREAT! Good review in the Saturday Fort Worth paper.
