ever been to Sturgis? That's the "other" bike week. I live 35 miles from there and went every year from 1976 to 1992 on my bike and then tourist mode after that

Yes, try to get there every third year. There are 7 of us that make the trip and then back home here for Easyrider Rodeo in Chilicothe.
