So it's been a few days now and I'm still trying to buck this vodka residue - thinking about dropping it in an ultrasonic jewelry cleaner, does anyone have advice on this?

Put it horizontally and so it can not trample too much so the interior does not come loose. You can use water, alcohol or vinegar. As you are trying to get rid of the vodka taste, I guess your not using alcohol. You can use hot water as it warms it up anyhow. I have given them many cycles total of 15-30mins and it has not been too much.

fine with me, and glad and hope the other hh357 thread is linked here as we end up missing and/or repeating things.

just noting that the hh357 510 should be good on b/f since it can leak.... and then you can just suck up the leaks. funny though, for me i don't get much leaking from what is known as the leaking 901's.

i just love the hh901's, and without a shield YMMV... to say the least.

good to see the site stocked!

I just received my first HH the other day and sadly it is defective. I emailed Hanna and he confirmed and told me to send it on over. Anyone have any idea where I send it to?? I assume Hanna himself and not Avid but I just don't know. I emailed Hanna back but sure he's a busy guy and it might take a bit for him to get back to me.

EDIT: Taken care of.

My just cleaned V2 901 vapes like a freakin freight train! whooo hoooo. every time.
It's been like this since I first broke it in over a week ago. omg. I didn't know my lungs could hold so much vapor.

I can't get an open stealth adapter to thread though... no bottom feeder for this one.
I'm ordering another open adapter as the closed stealth adapter fits. I'm asking them to fit it to my next V2 901 first.

Took me 3 weeks to break in a custom short barrel...think I'm pretty happy with it now. I'm now starting another regular long barrel one that is not custom. I'm wondering if there are any short cuts to breaking it in, or tricks to make it last longer. Seems I have a lot of reading to catch up on....200 pages with 2003 posts?

Waaaah....tell me an HH 357 bedtime story!

Breaking in is mystifying to me... I'd ask MWA.... but for me i just use all the intuition i've developed from a couple years of dripping and even then the HH357 fools me.
Seems like we all have our particular quirks too.
For me, I like to give it just enough juice, and then make sure i don't do dry hits.
I think MWA uses a drip shield and keeps it wet wet.
I use just enough power to not burn it out... like 3.3 to 3.6 for the 1.5 LR.
hope this helps, though i doubt it.
I still get a percentage of whiff hits, like what happened, wheres the vape? but overall its the best ever.
as to break in, i think it only takes about an hour or two lately, but i mostly use the 901.
