Like I said in the last post Cisco, It was cleaned every few days. If it takes cleaning more than that it isn't for me. Alcohol soaks on an hour each time. juice used is tobacco only 50/50 blend.. guess my juice just builds up fast..

Not to throw salt in the wound, but in all honesty, I soak my HH .357 atomizers in Everclear every 4 - 5 days. I use either 80/20 or 70/30 mixes and I vape mostly fruit/dessert e-liquids. My atomizers have never been as caked up with juice, as in the picture, even before cleaning them! Something must be wrong with your Everclear.

I dont think there is anything wrong with the everclear but might be the juice itself doing something to that particular coil. I dont have trouble with other attys and buildup. I am not putting down the 357 by any means. Might be just my juice.
Anyways I am sure others will chime in as time goes on as to what their coils look like. It is a strange thing to see such fast buildup.

Cisco: Should my 2.5 be leaking or is this a problem?

I am not sure how many drops your putting in but they shouldn't leak. Might need to back off a drop compared to the 1.5ohm, there are some minor modifications in the 2.5ohm, this could be the reason. If you feel it just straight up leaks no matter how your dripping, send it back, we can take a look at it and repair it or replace it.

Does vodka work just as well?

Would it be a good idea to keep two in rotation? One in use, the other soaking until rotation?

Any vodka will work, the lower proof vodka's just have more water than the higher proof.
If you clean them often enough, soaking for hours is not necessary, if you go to long before a cleaning, soaking will do no good. It would take some work to get a mound of carbon off the coil, dry burning would work but its risky. once carbon starts to build up, it will continue to mound, the vodka helps break it down, you could try and pick it off after a soak but that carries a risk. If a majority of the coil is covered with carbon it will heat unevenly, it will vape like crap, leak, and probably taste burnt, just before it dies. I wish I could tell everyone exactly how often they should clean it but I cant, you have to figure it out on your own. The amount you vape and the juice you use creates a huge variable. There are so many options for juice and only god know whats in most of them. I cant be specific on any juice other than high VG content, high sugar, and dark juices will build up much quicker, how quick depends on how much and how hard you vape.

Hmmm, wow, thats interesting to see, however we haven't run into this while taking other hh357s apart.. I would be very interested in getting back this atomizer and possibly contacting my previous supplier of wool.. We have, however, changed suppliers since earlier runs.

I sent you a PM, sir!! thanks!

Behind you
Short update...

1) The HH is still, hands down, the best tobacco vaping atty I've had. The other Hybrid is doing quite well but for my all-day, the HH is just a hammer.

2) Sluers, thanks for suggesting the Drip-on-Demand, it is such a good marriage w/ the HH and the style of harder/shorter draws the HH works best with. First night with the combination and two hours w/o a squeeze or leaks so far. Good stuff!

I very much look forward to the further revisions and always keeping a pair or few HHs in my arsenal. After my short hiccup it's been nothing but crazy love. -Magnus

Magnus, glad to hear the .357 paired with the DoD is working well for you. Thanks for letting me know that you are happy with the DoD. Whenever I recommend something, I hold my breath and hope the item is well received!
