Hmm, that could be it... I dripped a few more drops in the top and it seems to be okay.

I guess when using with a bottom feeder, you MUST add drops from the top every now and then in order for it to work properly...

Or just do a quick cold pull first and make sure you hear the gurgle sound...

That wasn't working very well for me... it didn't stop hissing til I added drops from the top.

I have had it spit and spew when I used an e-liquid that had water as one of the ingredients. It stopped when I changed to another juice.

Oh, I didn't realize that. That's strange... as long as the wick and the coil are wet there shouldn't be any hissing. Well, at least you found out what works...

getting really hot vapes, cleaned , then metered them and they read,,, 1.3ohm, they were 1.5's
at 1.3 hard to get a good vape, too hot , taste like hot coils, had these about a month now, i dont have a vv, to lower the voltage to see its better, and if i add drops to keep coil wet, it just puts eliguind in mouth, might as well just start drinking the liguid......

Sounds like a dream to me! I couldn't wait for mine to drop resistance so that I can get a better (hotter) vape. But it really depends on your juices. My main juice shines at a higher wattage, 11ish... Can I have it?

mine is whistling as well. I think it's the mod. I am on the REO Mini with my 1.5 whistling while I work.....it's very faint though, could just be a sucking sound.

I am currently using a darwin. I get it from several of them.

Seriously, if it's an issue, I do agree with wigglr that you might want to have it checked for the vacuum.

I had the ohms drop to 1.1 on 2 of mine. even though we shouldn't i soaked them in ipa then dry burned them with a half charged battery and kept checking them for the ohm rating. i repeated this several times and brought them back up to 1.5. flushed them out with vodka and vapeing away.just like new.

The resistance on atomizers has the potential to drop as they get used. An atomizer reading 1.5ohm out of the box could drop to 1.4-1.3 or more over time. You could put these on a different setup if they are running to hot for you. A quick dry burn after a cleaning could bring them back up, risky but it can work. My main 357 runs @ around 1.4, it has been as low as 1.2 but after a cleaning and a quick dry burn it comes back up. When its @ 1.2/3 it runs too hot on a fresh 26650 charge, so I move to a different device to soften the voltage or run it on a Darwin.

Pretty common occurrence, glad you were able to work it out. Good idea using a half charged battery for the dry burn. Running the coil bright orange when dry burning is risky, running it dry without letting the coil get that hot lowers the risk. A couple of drops of PGA/vodka on a cold coil (dont drip PGA/vodka on a hot coil) helps burn off carbon when dry burning.

Did someone state cleaning with Isopropyl alcohol was ok? Can't get a hold of PGA or anything over 40% for vodka down under.

Unfortunately, I'm having trouble using it with the Mini now. I can't get it to flow up enough from the bottom in order to get the juice where it needs to be, and as a result it just leaks back out all over the place. I clean it every two days, but it seems to be getting worse. It didn't leak like this at first.

Well, you asked me to check in after I started using my 1.5 in my UFS -- I would say its better than a 510, on par with my 901 hit after 2 hours. I think the flavor is better but they are dissimlar juices, I will post again after a couple more days. That is when I will notice a difference as the taste drops off with typical joye attys somewhat.....
