I just fried an HH357. Totally my fault. I had my REO and my keys in the same jacket pocket. The keys managed to get on top of the REO button when I sat down and fired it until I smelled the burn. It still fires, and I knocked a big hunk of crusted juice off the top of the coil, but the burnt taste is extremely pronounced.
I'm giving it a good soak in PGA, but I don't know if it's going to be serviceable any more. It was my first 357 and I got 7+ weeks of outstanding performance out of it. No complaints at all. It was good enough to convince me to order more, so I've got a new one screwed onto my REO and I'm breaking it in now. I was curious as to what kind of life span the 357 had, and minus user error, mine was going strong after almost two months, including some initial abuse as I learned how best to vape it.
I know VV and carto tanks are very popular now, and I've got a set up for that, but my REO and the HH357 give me far and away the best vape I've had. Vaping is an evolving technology and I've had plenty of equipment that was touted as being "better" that simply wasn't. The HH357 is a true advancement, and it's the only atty I want any more.
I just can't sacrifice any more to the Fire (Button) god.
