I'm assuming you're talking Phil Busardo? He doesn't own a shop... he's just a totally objective reviewer. Lots of us rely on his straight shooting opinion of things. And thing I like about him is he'll always tell you if he got the product for free, and make it clear that he only accepted on the condition that he give an objective review. And most of the stuff he gets gratis to review he turns over to a contest or another vaper, anyway. Good reviewers aren't in it to get free gear, but of course it would be inconceivable for them to afford every new product that people are clamoring for a review on. So if no vendor offers to send him one to review, he'll ask if anyone is willing to give theirs up for reviewing, to be returned after the fact. They do end up spending a huge amount of their own funds to get stuff to review, also, so its REALLY a huge public service. I dunno what Phil does in real life... I believe he works in radio, though. Guy has saved me and a ton of people a ton of money on vapegear that doesn't work as advertised, or just isn't suited to my vape style. Heck of a reviewer. Also love GrimmGreen, SteelJan, and Lord Davon. RockinRobbie is great, also. I really rely on good reviewers of vapegoods to stop me wasting money I can't afford on a product that won't work as advertised. NOT a big issue when you're dealing with a vendor like CCV, since Andrew tends to be a straight shooter and tell it like it is. He and a few other vendors are my faves because they don't carry stuff that doesn't work, for the most part. BUT lots of bigger shops carry every big huge buzz product in vapeland, and that's when I go hunting for reviews. ;)

Phil Busardo has done C.C.V stuff before, i believe it was a review of Resurrectors IIRC? It actually was through that review that i learned of the CCV 15-carto/free shipping deals. In the review Phil was also pleased to note C.C.V's "no junk/crap/garbage on our website" philosophy.
I almost recall him reviewing some CCV juice too...dangit, now I'm gonna have to go look.

*goes and looks*

The search also revealed that the Bolt Busardo reviewed was also from CCV...

Ive never met Phil but he is mentioned often in local vaping circles and everyone who knows him speaks highly of him. Doesnt he own a shop of his own tho?

Sorry, realize this is off topic on ccv's thread but Jeremy is an electrical engineer and Id trust his judgement simply due to the fact that my grandfather was a senior electrical engineer at Westinghouse for decades, even after his retirement. A good electrical engineer always has my respect first. (History lesson of the day: My Grandpa amassed 78 patents thru Westinghouse, and 18 on his own. The list is including the first nuclear turbine design used on the Nautilus Submarine in the early 1950's and yep, his name along with a few others is on the patent. The turbine tho is the same design that paved the way for neuclear reactors to provide power all over the world. Lab's early submarine reactor program paved the way for modern nuclear power plants - Argonne's Historical News Releases)

No knock on Phil, I dont know him. Just dont see why one vendor would send gear to another vendor for testing. I thought Phil was a partner in that shop on Niagara Falls Blvd. I could be wrong.

Me, I trust Jeremy to test the V2.

Phil isn't a vendor of any kind. He has a website, but doesn't sell anything there. Possibly your confusing Phil with Brad that owns Juicy Vapor in Tonawanda? Phil doesn't have any stake in that store, and in fact never even visited it until he shot the video there. I know, because when I made a trip up a few months ago, I emailed Phil and asked if he'd like to come over.

My suggestion to send one to Phil for review isn't really about having it evaluated. I just think it would be a great way to promote CCV, because a TON of people watch Phil's reviews (including me). With all the confusion out there with versions on Lavatubes, I think if Phil does a favorable review, people are quite likely to go straight to the site that provided the one he reviewed if interested in purchasing one. Anymore, one sites "Version 2" may not be the same as a "version 2" on another site.

Well thank you for the correction all. I wasnt sure one way or the other if Phil was a vendor. As I said I thought I had heard he was a part of Juicy Vapor. I couldnt remember the name hifi, ty.

Welp, imo it is a good idea then. Ive paid far more (thousands) for publicity online... than the cost of a retail VVPV. Now that being said Im sure after the last round of LT's has Andrew putting the V2 thru its paces first.

Alright. I have to report that the Vmax is a beast. Came in yesterday. I will have to benchmark this thing once I get some time.

It is a really nice size and weight. Feels good in the hand. Battery life has been great as well. Not sure if this is due to the device or these Efest batteries. I have used it with a few different combinations of attys and cartos and have found that my voltage setting seems to be about .5v lower than on my v1 SSLT and 'varistack' for a comparable hit. It does take a bit to get used to the controls, as I imagine it would on a Provari, but once you figure it out it is quite easy. I like being able to choose what, if anything, information pops up when I hit the trigger. I leave mine on resistance or turn the display off altogether. The included batteries seem to be doing very well. You do need a magnet with them (included of course), but CCV is supposed to be getting in nipple top versions soon, and that should eliminate that. Oh, and I really like the large display.

But, the thing to look out for is the i4 Intellicharger. I talked to Andrew a few days back and he had an extra one sitting around (without car charger adapter though) and I had him throw it on my order. This thing is awesome. I have charged almost every battery in the house (don't do 4.8 NiMH) and it is sweet. Nice easy to view charge indicators, and everything comes off at the proper voltage. Replaced 2 big chargers and gave me some much needed desk space back. The only thing I would have liked to see would have been an option to mount it on a wall, but that is me just being nit-picky. I think these will be in stock soon as well.

Well, that's all I have for now. To recap, Vmax a powerhouse, i4 Intellicharger a space-saving awesome charger.

Sweet, looks like I'm going to swap out for a chrome v2... Question, should I send mine in first and wait for a confirmation receipt then put in an order for the swap (if not, what is the process)? Also I am assuming that we are just swapping tube for tube and not the whole kit correct? Haven't seen an email go out yet, and just wanted to make sure I was clear on the process... I should be able to drop mine in the mail on friday, as that's my day off so just wondering what to do.

Thanks again!

Damn, it's like everything I want from everyone will be coming up soon...lol

I'm gonna get one of those i4's...for the batts I have, it really can't be beat.

Here's the review of it from one of the best guys on CPF.
http://lygte-info.dk/review/Review Charger SysMax i4 V2 UK.html

Make sure it's a v2 though...lotta places advert a v2 and send a v1 that has issues with US 110v power. About $25 is the going rate FAIK.

Difference between Sysmax charger V1 and V2

Any clarification on the V2 LT as to whether it is a true 4amp unit?

Any idea how many you will have available to sell retail and at what price after all the swaps are made?

I have a probably dumb question...what cone or adapter thingy would hide the threads on my e-power without using the big cone that came with it?

see:

View attachment 112505

I'd basically like it to have a flat top so fiddling with cartos or juice leaks would be easy, but also protection for the threads.

I need a washer...lol

Hey, ya'll who keep raving about the vmax... Andrew only has ONE review up for it. Would be killer if you guys would review it on site, since you know not all vapers are ecf nuts like we are, and guessing his non vape forum clients might like to know how truly remarkable it is. lol I just went to peek at reviews to see how many people are raving about it, and was surprised there was only one. ;)
