Hey Moon, let me catch you before you cycle off. Got a ? and you're pretty much the guy to go to for all things Mac/Apple. So...Microsoft (I believe) has a kind of hybrid thing that functions as a desktop (kind of) with a screen that can be removed and functions like a tablet. My question, ahem...does Mac have any kind of similar hybrid beast?
My situation is that I like having the "desktop" setup upstairs, but I LOVE the iPad for everywhere else I am. And.....my iPad is running IOS 6.1.3, and my desktop is rapidly approaching being as old as I am. I mean, we're talking Vista there:facepalm:.
Is there such an animal in the Mac world? Hard to justify springing for both formats (desktop AND Macbook or iPad). Figured I'd ask first before I went to the Apple store and looked like a complete idiot. But actually, that wouldn't be the first time though.....

Nope I don't think so either, they have their IOS and the Mac OS they are becoming more similar to each other but no cross over type thing, if thats what You were asking.

And as a side note IOS is now at 12.0.1

Jmur...

No matter what, desktop ( Mac or Windows ) or notebook... get it with a SSD and not a hard drive. The SSD's have been the number one increase in system speed that we've seen in decades. They can allow the OS, programs and files to load 10x faster ( if not more in some cases ). I assume that the iPads also use SSD but in my pretty brief look at them, they didn't say, they just listed the available sizes of the storage.

Assume you will also need new software although I'm assuming it will be the same for Apple products, it's almost a certainty on the Windows.
