Getting close to moonie about now I think
I can say the winds haven't changed much by Moonie for now... I'm on the radar site in the Keys now so I don't see a lot on radar in his area, what I did see looks to be from other clouds that aren't directly part of Irma although they are being pulled by her... Irma's top most band by him is a little south by West Palm Beach...
Wow, the majority of my laundry is done and it's just now 8:00!

I hope Moonwater, Classy, and the chimp lady continue to keep holding on through Irma, it's a good thing we've got RDS on our side. He might not be a meteorologist, but at least he's got the maps N programs to keep an eye on what the storm's doing!

Probably should remind those that may not know better. As the hurricane moves through the various parts of the state... there will be a lot of power and cell outages some of which may not be fixed for some time. So if you don't hear from someone for a while, don't assume the worst, it's normal in these situations. They probably just can't get service to contact anyone in the outside world until the service come back online... which may take some time.

as of now just past 11PM, the winds have picked up, all day long i been dragging stuff back & forth across the street. The last few trips with the small low cart i felt the wind on it, had to chase an empty box a while too, i caught it after about 50/60 feet. When it came time for the tall cart, I opted for the further way back to the kitchen using the "sky bridge" on the 2nd floor. I think tomorrow that will be my only option.

yeah, were are about 70% full the rest of the rooms are on hold for Florida Power & Light.
no one really knows when they will show or actually how many there will be.
They might head some where else, the might double up in the rooms,,,,,,,we have to wait & see

Right now I'm wishing you were back in CT.....
I'm certainly not forgetting her and her hubby either.... Irma's only moving about 6mph at the last update I read, so it'll take a while to reach Northern Florida at that rate. The last tract forecast I've seen will have the eye about 60 miles to Ag's west... with the understanding they'll change that a million times by the time it gets up there... lol
The NHC hasn't shown an update to Irma as a Cat4 yet ( still showing Cat3 ) but I suspect they are doing other things... The radar in the Key's has shown it to be at Cat4 wind speeds on the NE corner of the eye since a little after 10pm CDT. They also haven't issued another tract forecast update since the last one I posted...
I have noticed several of the airports weather reports south of Moonie have gone down... I'm suspecting power outages even if the winds haven't been terribly high, I'm sure other weather factors ( likely lightning etc with tornadoes also a possible cause ) must have come into play to cause it.
