[SPOILER="that thing"

"Theo! Runner!" he was only on top as Runner kept going, the sound now was full of war drums, there may have been a thousand now coming, "We have to go mother." Said Latrell his dark brown hair, and beard growing fuller.

"Theo!" yelled Abby. Then Runner turned to his left the other horses followed, and he came to a stop under a few trees. "Move back boys" The two horses moved fast enough as the army gathered the snow falling hard the fire fading in their rear.

The soldiers came out cheering and boasting, the foot soldiers and horsemen and archers came.... they just kept coming. Finally at the fires they came. "Mother?!?" A crack in the ice, it as small but long four ways. The fires aided it, and the next crack was louder. The floor opened up, as horse and man fell under the water; so many, and if they hated her and her sons now, they did so more, as almost all the archers were lost and most of the horses, "Ride boys, Ride!" she said.

Hello everyone. Just wanted to let you all know that our power was restored about 3:30PM yesterday. 8 days without power really sucked. We had a 4000 watt generator running the power for a fan, the computer, scale, label printer and laser printer. The computer was tethered to my cell phone for Internet. It wasn't pretty, since we had to work in the heat and get orders out.

We lost everything in the fridges (we have the house fridge and garage fridge), and had water damage in the garage that caused the inside ceiling to cave in. We also lost a few shingles. We had some health issues due to living in the heat; baby got heat rash, and Friday was so humid that my wife was throwing up and I passed out. We left Friday afternoon to spend the weekend at the in-laws to cool down. All-in-all, everyone was safe and we never lost water, so we consider ourselves very lucky.

I hope everyone was also safe and sound during Irma and no one else had to deal with this.

LD, I'm so glad you got power back. It's horrible, isn't it? Up here, after Irene we went 8 days too with no juice. It's monotonous, mind altering and really affects your sanity. I'm glad you're back on the grid!

Having said that, I feel almost guilty to say that Jose, in our parts, has been almost inconsequential. We've had SOME rain, and winds only about 30 to 40 mph. Easiest hurricane I've ever went through...
Just to the East (RI and the Cape) they're getting hit much harder, but here it's really pretty minimal.

So, now that your power is back on it's time to jack that guitar cable in and give us some recordings...

Well...we're waiting..........:)

Really glad to finally hear from you and that you and the family are ok... sorry about the rest of that though...

Thank you everyone. I think the worst part of all of this was Duke Energy giving us ETAs that would keep moving. If it weren't for them, I'd probably have left much sooner than Friday. At first, it was supposed to be back by Thursday night at the latest. Then on Friday they said Saturday night. On Saturday, they said Sunday night. On Monday they finally told us it could be Tuesday. Neighbor said they heard it could be up to 5 more days.

We'd see Duke Energy survey SUVs in the neighborhood every other day driving around. Once and awhile they'd stop outside the community and just sit there for 5 minutes while people walked around. We had power come on for half the community the day after it went out, but we stayed in the dark. The Publix behind us was out for 3 days, but everywhere around us was back long before we were.

On Monday another survey SUV was here. I finally went out to yell at the guy, but he turned out to be a nice guy and very frustrated, so I didn't. He told me that they couldn't figure out why we were down. I told him it was at the pole outside the community, diagonal from the house -- explained that it sparked and caught fire. He said that if it were there it didn't explain why the other half of the community had power. I talked him into walking over to the pole with me, the whole time he was explaining how it couldn't cause the problem. Once we got there he looked up and down the pole, looked at me and apologized. Less than 2 hours later we had power. If it weren't for him listening, we'd probably still be without power.

I haven't even plugged the equipment back in yet. Just been too busy dealing with all of the work that's backed up the last few weeks. Even before the hurricane came, we were spending every spare second preparing.

I told my wife on Friday that the worst problem with having V-Drums is that when you are all ...... and frustrated during a power outage, you can't play them -- you can still bang on them, but it just isn't the same. Only instrument I had working 100% was my acoustic guitar. If it weren't for being able to play that, I'd probably had gone nuts.

Tomorrow, my wife is going to her best friend's dress fitting, since the wedding is less than a month away. Becky is taking the baby too. So, once I am done with getting the orders out, I plan on getting The Music Nook all back together and running. Will finally have some time to get back to it.

If Jacob sees me in that area, he will come in, grab some sticks and start swinging. He gets the drums about 80% of the time -- the rest of the time... well, I still have some of the bruises and my acoustic chipped.
