A/C and light and ESPRESSO!!! I have missed my coffee. Came back up about 9:30 last night... after seeing the mess I've made since the power went out I was tempted to turn the lights back off.
Started firing up the computer (which turned out to be literal) when I heard the snap, crackle, and pop of burning electronics. As it turned out one of my monitors toasted and evidently sent a jolt back into the computer - thankfully, no actual hardware damage on the PC, but it sure did upset the operating system. Finally got it running without OS complaints about 1 am.
I was ready for a good long A/C induced sleep - at least until 7a.m. when neighbors who evacuated began texting -'do we have power?'. At least we're back on the road to normalcy. Guess I'd better go clean this place up!
If you haven't gotten your power back yet - it's comming! Keep the faith.
