Just finished mixing up my first try at a steak rub... I'll test it out tonight and if it doesn't need any alteration ( not likely since it's the first try )... I'll share it...

PS... This rub won't have salt in it so the meat could sit longer and absorb the spices more while in the fridge without having the salt working on it... salt can be added 20-30 minutes before cooking. The primary difference than most rubs I've read about is I'm using red and green bell pepper flakes ( dried ) that I've chopped down to about 1/8" size give or take.

Well, my Smok Skyhook has taken an unfortunate turn. I thought it was dead, then realized it was just the display that died. Still firing, but no way of knowing my wattage, ohms, batt levels, etc. not very safe. Sort of like driving a car blindfolded.
Pretty disappointed cause since I got it I've used it exclusively, really liked it:(

(at first I'm thinking, well, it's pretty much like using a mech, just make sure of testing the coil and batts. But...I really don't know what caused it in the first place, so there may be issues I don't know of)

Yep, sadly it's time to put it to rest, If You have the slightest bit of concern over the safety of it, let it go. I have a little museum of outdated and or broken mods. It's fun to look at them and reminisce
