Ok... quick ( not so accurate ) update...
The edge of the eye is almost due east of Moonie's home about 50 miles out... the wind gusts in his area are now over 70mph it doesn't appear that they will exceed around 80mph at this time based on the higher gusts that are south of him and heading his way. The higher gusts out NE of the eye, do exceed 100mph which will impact those well north of Moon if it hits landfall and doesn't stay east.... If it does hit land, at this time the most likely area is going to be around the Cape Canaveral area.

if/when it does hit land, as unfortunate for the folks at that spot as it would be, it would diminish it's strength some. The eye staying over the water is just giving it more and more fuel. It may have been better without that slight distance from the coast. My thoughts and prayers are with you guys.

Just spoke to Moonie and they are waiting to hear when they can leave. So far it's " leave at your own risk ". They just opened the door so he's outside
