True dat... :D

I do have a plan to shoot a set of photos of the Hercules Cluster when it comes up at a decent hour ( I think it is already coming in the up early morning hours ). It's a really impressive cluster to look at in a telescope and if a picture is even half as good, it'll be a cool shot. I'll also try getting a shot of the Lagoon and Trifid nebula's when they come back up in the late summer months. I suspect they'll be able to be photographed almost as well as the orion nebula.

Since Ag's wants to see stars... :)

I went again and went through the processing of the shots I got the other night of my favorite constellation ( it's really not a constellation on it's own, it's part of the Taurus constellation but I consider it separately myself )... The Seven Sisters also known as Pleiades.

The blueish color ( a little violet-ish in my shot for some reason, trying to correct that would also throw off the colors of the other stars ) is enhanced by the reflective nebula that is reflecting the color of the stars. This shot only shows the closest by portion of the nebula that makes the stars appear to have a slight haze by them. I could likely get as good of a shot using a single pic ( instead of the 120+ I used here ) but I was attempting to get the nebula to show more, but was unable to accomplish that. Telescopes are used on these types of objects for their light gathering and not as much for the added magnification you can get. A larger diameter lens captures more light from faint objects.

An internet search will bring you much better pics of this and show the nebula ( since they are using telescopes as it should be done ).
