I'm struggling to find something to say about this,,,,,,,,,,,, I'll just go with ,,,,,,, I think I like it thats what I think :)

I prefer things a little more simple... take away the boney stuff and it'd be much better :D

Got a little break from the clouds tonight... so before the Moon rose to high and started messing with the darkness... I took out the 'scope for a spin to see if I'd gotten the alignment much better... it's better, but the term "much" would be an exaggeration. I still need to replace the screws on the back that adjust the rear mirror cell with thumb screws... that will make it much easier than using a phillips screwdriver.

I did get to do some comparing of 3 eyepieces I've got... one new one that came with the scope and two that I've had for some time... still not dark enough to see if there is much difference in them and they all come to a sharp focus. So even that will need to wait until there are darker skies.

With the temp at 37°... I now remember why I didn't do much stargazing during the winter months.. :D

I hope Jmur checks in... hope he isn't without power at the least.

Kept power. Didn't get as much as expected, systems moved more westward which brought in "warmer" air, so consequently more sleet than snow about by mid day. Maybe 6 to 8 inches, but the moisture compacted it down some. BUT...dang, the stuff is heavy! Almost broke my arms clearing the back steps for Mya tonight. And she's NOT a happy camper, cause I haven't cleared out much room for her in the yard yet. That'll happen tomorrow. She said she'd wait...She's about 90lbs and her paws didn't even break the crust of the snow. I can only imagine what the wall at the end of the driveway will be tomorrow (from the plows).
Winds are starting to die down now, but we were up to 50mph gusts earlier.
I'll deal with it all tomorrow.
Now, what did the groundhog report? Think I forgot...
