So sorry...My Dad's cousin passed away in a car accident yesterday morning...
he prolly played dis machime JNice LD! Moments like that are priceless. And it sure didn't hurt to take away a casino win to boot!
Just got back from my first "vacation" in 4 years. Becky got tickets to see Daughtry and Nickelback at the Tampa Fairgrounds on Tuesday night. We went with a couple of friends of ours and turned it into a mini vacation. I still had a few things to do for work, but otherwise I had a blast. The concert was awesome!
We got into Tampa on Monday after dropping the kids off with grandma. Checked into the hotel and met everyone at the bar. I won $200 at the Hard Rock Casino right before leaving for the concert yesterday. Becky and I had a blast and the bands were great! We went with my wife's best friend and husband, who are the parents of our daughter's best friends. It was a great, no kids concert!
Redsock please take the 2 days if you can dats a long dribe for you mommy n daddy feelin sad ya knowsLooks like my Friday ( Saturday and probably Sunday ) are spoken for...
My Dad's cousin passed away in a car accident yesterday morning. The funeral will be on Saturday morning at 10am but there is a visitation Friday evening between 5pm-8pm that my parents want to attend.... It's going to be close to Port Author TX ( almost in Louisiana just a bit east of Houston.. ). Best case scenerio... the drive is a little over 8hrs but that's if we go through Dallas... at about noontime.
I think I'm going to extend the drive time to almost 9hrs and bypass Dallas if at all possible ( since it'd likely add almost an hour to the time anyway ).
No pics! I'm just glad I didn't stab myself in the eye just to escape this heat!![]()

I think I'd like him RedSockIt looks like we'll make it a 3 day trip actually... then leave first thing on Sunday unless we find we need to hurry back for something else.
While he was really my second cousin ( my Dad's first cousin ).... I always thought of him as Uncle Tom ( or Tommy ). I'm told that as he and my Dad were growing up, they were "as thick as thieves" and pretty much got into everything back then. After his retirement, he'd often show up at my folks to visit early in the morning and often unannounced.
While many people refer to having clowns in their family.... Tom really was a clown... I believe his clown name was Ol' Blue but I need to double check that. On occasion during family events, he'd bring his clown suit with him to entertain the kids ( and some of the parents ). He was certainly a kind, considerate soul with just the right amount of ornery in him.
